To think salted caramel Lindt balls...

Are the best thing ever?
Especially on a warm day when they are all melty and gooey?
I think they may be the nicest thing I have ever eaten.
I don’t work for Lindt btw, although maybe I should. Am seeking views to settle a household debate. Have name changed so the whole household can’t link to my previous threads.

Deffo in the fridge gang, cold chocolate is the one!

Slanabhaile · 16/07/2020 21:32

Red milk choc Lindt balls are the best!! Although I'd eat any of them given half a chance😜

verypeckish · 16/07/2020 21:33

They are sickly and disgusting - it's the palm oil.

Picklypickles · 16/07/2020 21:34

I love Lindt but I am so over salted fucking caramel now, its in everything now and its boring. The orange ones are the best.

Erictheavocado · 16/07/2020 21:35

I give youLindt online shop where you can find all the flavours they do, including my favourite, cappuccino. I used to love the coffee ones but they stopped making them. Nothing nicer than a trip to our nearest Lindt shop to buy a box of pick and mix.

randolph78 · 16/07/2020 21:35

I detest everything salted caramel and think people must have very poor tastebuds if they think the salt is ever in any way 'subtle' or 'enhancing' Shudder.

BettyButtercup · 16/07/2020 21:36

They didn't quite make my top 3.

  1. Coconut
  2. Mint
  3. Red

...just in case anyone was wondering.

formerbabe · 16/07/2020 21:38

A Sainsburys near me has a lindt balls pick and mix. My dd is obsessed with it!

Fishypants · 16/07/2020 21:40

JacobReesMogadishu · 16/07/2020 21:41

I like the orange ones, haven’t tried pistachio though

Lindtballsrock · 16/07/2020 21:43

I’m learning so many new flavors tonight! I had no idea about some of these. If I ever find a peanut butter one I may wet my pants with joy.

@Erictheavocado oh my god you’re so bad showing us this I didn’t know they had the pick and mix online.... Grin

funinthesun19 · 16/07/2020 21:45

These sound lovely! I didn’t even know they exist! I’ll look out for them next time I go shopping.

Atthebottomofthegarden · 16/07/2020 21:47

Prefer Ferero Rocher. Sorry...

The gold ones obviously, the other colours are very poor substitutes. My DH once bought me a box of mixed flavours. He’s learnt the error of his ways thankfully.

mrsBtheparker · 16/07/2020 21:47

I will say this then retire, sure to get a naughty message from MNHQ, but I think Lindt chocolate is revolting, the idea of all those flavours makes me gag, it's like an expensive Galaxy.

MotherMorph · 16/07/2020 21:48

I was so happy when I found a salted caramel Lindor bar the other day, but not seen one again. It was amazing.
Mint chocolate anything should be illegal IMO

Splodgetastic · 16/07/2020 21:48

Straciatella or orange if we have to deviate from the original ones.

BobFleming · 16/07/2020 21:49

The milk chocolate ones in the red wrapper are like manna from heaven to me.

I have to give them away immediately otherwise I would eat a box full in 2 days.

Atthebottomofthegarden · 16/07/2020 21:50

Despite FR obsession, would be prepared to try the Nocciolatte and Hazelnut ones, just in case they compare.

NellePorter · 16/07/2020 21:51

Not tried the salted caramel ones yet, but hard agree with eating Lindt balls straight from the fridge. Don't even want to think about how much I spent on the pick'n'mix last time I went to Cheshire Oaks. I don't like the fruity or mint ones though.

WhoresDerves · 16/07/2020 21:52

Yanbu! These ones or the white choc ones are scrummy 😋 i call them orgasm balls 😂

IaltagDhubh · 16/07/2020 21:52

Salted caramel is the work of the devil. Therefore I conclude that salted caramel balls are, in fact, Beelzebub’s bollocks. Waxed and oiled...

Lindt in general is overly sweet and oily. I’m not a fan. Although the coffee balls are okay if you can find them.

essexmum777 · 16/07/2020 21:53

is this one of those planted threads by the Lindt SM team? if so please send all mumsnet users free samples

Guylan · 16/07/2020 21:54

For me Holdsworth salted caramel truffles are the best by far.

Hysteriawhenyourenear · 16/07/2020 21:54

@GotGameByThePound

My Christmas centrepiece is a large vase filled with green, red and gold Lindt balls.

Though, every one of them has a slight mint taste by Christmas Day.

Nice! My halloween display are the orange and dark chocolate onesSmile
