Trump's newly reconvened "coronavirus" press conference due soon. But apparently no scientific or CDC officials are due to be there. McNinny said Trump is perfectly capable of giving the US population the info it needs - and references his previous viewer ratings as the only credentials he needs...

It's not going to be about the virus is it? It's going to be "oh, woe is me, you're all so mean/fake/unpatriotic. Just look at those beautiful deaths" on repeat. He can't do the rallies so it's going to be "The Donny Trump Show" instead.

macaroni I don't think the BBC will show it live but CNN after Jake Tapper are due to run it. Sometimes they cut away though if he gets too campaign-y. I think the White House website will also have it live.

I linked that Atlantic thread above, Lion, and the thing is... no one cares anymore, apart from his base there is not a shred of sympathy for him.

His 'covid' press briefing yesterday was different yet again. No health officials with him. Reading from a script with not too much meandering, a few charts, but the thing is... a lot of it was lies.

He glossed over covid continually saying the US had done a fantastic job. Everyone is wise to this nonsense, he took few questions because the press started to push him on why he is wearing a mask now, why didn't he encourage this before, why he said the virus would go just like that, why weren't the Health professionals stood with him etc etc.
Exit Trump swiftly.

Oh and someone asked about Ghislaine Maxwell. He 'wishes her well', said he's met her lots of times. WTAF??

I've given up in disgust on Trump, Brexit, and politics generally, though they still pass through my newsfeeds, so I see that last night, Nancy Pelosi caused quite a furore by designating Covid-19 "the Trump Virus".

Thank you, @PossiblyPFB. I use some of those expressions also, but I don't think any of them are quite as rude as "his arse from his elbow"!

Slightly off on a tangent but does anyone know who Naked Athena is? Has this Portland African American ballet yoga lady come forward yet?

This lady made Trumps soldiers look a bit unnecessary to say the least as still firing at an evidently unarmed civilian with nothing but guts and balls along with nice hat and safety mask.

I doubt they're sticking a swab up his nose several times a day. Unless it's intentional torture. But it sounds more like "truthful hyperbole", aka lies.
