Lockdown Lookalike - the awful realisation......

Lockdown can be tough. I am homeschooling and am finding it hard. But after my shower this morning I looked into the mirror and the realisation hit me. I looked like the Welsh King's brother in 'The Last Kingdom'! He is not a pretty man - straggly hair, a bit fat and quite wrinkly. I was really shocked to see him staring back at me!!! Who do you look like since lockdown?

What is wrong with people.I guess im much older than many of you,but i do my nails every night,give myself regular pedicures and facials, Im really longing to go back to manicures etc again but i refuse to neglect myself because of a bloody lockdown.I dye my own hair anyway and yes it could do with a trim,but im conditioning it,using repair stuff on it.And i certainly am not eating anymore than usual.A long daily walk helps to.

I cant believe people cant be bothered to keep their appearance up,after all they have more time,i certainly wont be dropping my standards,English woman do it too easily.

I stupidly let DH cut my hair and now have a Grayson Perry bob. I'm hoping a box of hair dye will improve it.

This is me, my hair is slightly longer but the resemblance is uncanny

Not everyone has more time. I'm currently trying to home school an 8 year old and a 12 year old, entertain a 4 year old and hold down a FT job WFH. I'm literally losing my mind with it all. My appearance is very low on my current list of priorities, even though in normal life I really enjoy nice clothes, wearing make-up etc.

Sadly I’m one of these silly type of buggers who is on the go working, caring for parents, a relative’s dog for the best part of 19 hours a day.

My standards dropped a long time ago.

Still, as me dear old nan used to say ‘Ye cannae polish shite’ and so it would be pointless anyway.

Shite can’t shine but it can’t judge either. It can tell you where to shove your despair at us English women though. Only I’m not English dear. It is more widespread than you thought. Just like our lighthearted sense of humour.

Hair like the tiger king as my short hair cut had decided to only grow at the back. Face I look like Peter Kay.
