Lockdown Lookalike - the awful realisation......

Lockdown can be tough. I am homeschooling and am finding it hard. But after my shower this morning I looked into the mirror and the realisation hit me. I looked like the Welsh King's brother in 'The Last Kingdom'! He is not a pretty man - straggly hair, a bit fat and quite wrinkly. I was really shocked to see him staring back at me!!! Who do you look like since lockdown?

My pixie haircut grew out so much I started to resemble Mr Vernon Kay.

So I tried cutting it myself at home, it went a bit wrong and now I look like pic 2.

I've noticed since doing more face timing how old and wrinkly I am and how I look more like my dad. also I'm sure my nose is much bigger than it used to be.

Doggit from OITNB. Two broken (front!!) teeth was bad enough. Then decided to give myself an extremely wide fringe that’s all uneven. I thought following a wiki step by step would be ok... Thankfully we’re stuck inside so no one can see, I’d terrify the neighbourhood kids

My hair got a bit long and I looked like professor snape!! luckily I am handy with scissors and now I don't, but I was a dead ringer!

Woke up this morning and my hair is now channelling Jon Bon Jovi

When I open my phone camera and it's on "selfie" mode, I jump back in horror every time. The double chin! The haggard eyes! The roots! The person looking back at me is at least 20 years older than I feel

In the mirror at home Thought looked like Madonna from the 80s in the mirror in M n S this afternoon it was definitely Grotbags looking back. Put on so much weight stress eating and drinking during lockdown.

There was an incident with a box dye.

But not as cute - I have a permanent frown on my forehead from constantly wondering when this will be over 😏

This thread made me laugh. My dd said to me today.
Mummy why has your hair turned grey (magically full grey in the last let myself go 6 weeks)
time to get the box dye out it would seem. I know I can go grey but I have to agree with her, it resting on my naturally dyed black hair just isn't right
The chin hairs on the other hand. They're staying out for now until the dh complains they tickle him too much.

@GhostofGeishaPast are you going to undo the orange with another box dye or will you just let it fade/grow out? I shouldn't laugh at others misfortune really, but feel that we are all in this together now! 😂
