Just that really. Either a totally off topic question, a hilarious response or just something that made you laugh.

For me it was someone who had posted about her office chair frequently appearing damp and smelling of pee and someone just responded “woah we’re halfway there”.

That rude poem thread was brilliant favourite comment from some exasperated poster - just tell him “sit on my face you beardy fucker”.

Thelnebriati
I've just remembered the one where a journalist accidentally copy-pasted the instructions from her editor instead of the goady post s/he was supposed to write, but I don't have a link.

@TheInebriati

I found it!

(Full disclosure: it took me 2 days to find it. I'm either tenacious or trying to avoid doing my work Grin)

Thelnebriati · 07/05/2020 00:29

Oh you utter star!

Mountainash · 07/05/2020 19:39

I followed the link to the Hugo thread and totally lost it. I have never laughed so much over a name. I only read it half way through as I couldn’t see for the tears rolling down my cheeks. I need to go lie down now. Grin

SummerHouse · 07/05/2020 20:53

My fave thread was a woman who was going on a date and the man had mentioned splitting the bill in advance. You had to be there.

SummerHouse · 07/05/2020 20:53

Two days finding that would be two days well spent.

truthisarevolutionaryact · 07/05/2020 21:20

Thank you for keeping this thread going. I've just had a good hour of laughing at some more of these. Loved the Balonz baby name thread Grin

Mrsmorton · 07/05/2020 22:43

are you there OP or did Hugoaway had me actually laughing out loud which is rare.

BelfastNonBlonde · 08/05/2020 06:35

Oh my god thanks everyone these have been an absolute tonic! The laugh was just what I needed!

KC225 · 08/05/2020 06:52

Ahhsalmonskinroll Wankee candle was my contribution to the thread about the homemade candles. Haha

Bigfatpicnic · 08/05/2020 11:17

I loved the fat match comment on the reality thread.

But my favourite of all time is the marmaladetwatkins PTA cake one as mentioned further up. It’s was a 2 parter as well!

The various suggestions for PTA inspired aprons and tea towels were 😂.

makeupquestion · 08/05/2020 14:23

In tears here! Pombear and mil suppository 😂😂😂 I enjoyed the thread where the boyfriend came round and used toilet duck on his beard. Anyone remember that? I will try and find it.

chilling19 · 08/05/2020 14:28

It was Lidl anti poo spray

Beard. Loo spray. Dumped by text. What now?

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/relationships/3785434-Beard-Loo-spray-Dumped-by-text-What-now

😂

Thelnebriati · 08/05/2020 16:44

I'd forgotten that thread.

What type of pizza? 🤣

Wolfgirrl · 08/05/2020 17:15

The one where the poster talked about her boyfriend looking like Danny DeVito and waving around a poo covered loo brush. I'm in tears just thinking about it now. Great mental image.

Also the one where someone said the Radcliffes pie shop was like Sweeney Todd, as in the workers never leave..

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 08/05/2020 17:35

I could hardly breathe for laughing at the poster who, as a child, had got into trouble because they'd eaten all the buttons off the TV remote... 😂

Wobblysausage · 08/05/2020 19:59

The one where the OP asked ‘do you believe in Cod?’ instead of God and everyone just piled on with fish jokes. That one tickled me

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 08/05/2020 22:10

I was actually telling Dh about the Yoni massage thing a while back. Thrilled to find the thread again, I’ve just read some of it out to him and we’ve both laughed.

Carolduckingbaskin · 10/05/2020 12:08

Just seen one I like on cf thread about queuing and trolleys... someone just dropped in “shoot her, the bitch”.

A recent one during a discussion about whether picnics would be allowed someone said 'I'm just hoping they dont make them compulsory- I hate picnics'

Namechangex10000 · 10/05/2020 18:19

I spent the last few days on an off reading the lemon drizzle thread in full, I think I only caught snippets at the time. It’s helped me laugh my way through a really shitty time, does anybody out there remember the result of the third subsequently deleted thread? (Am I allowed to ask that? Is it a “TAAT” if I do?!) is marmalade still here?! What happened?!?

Can anybody remind me of the pombears reference?! Please don’t let this thread in, it’s had me in stitches.

Namechangex10000 · 10/05/2020 18:20

I must admit, I can only imagine the responses now if someone said they were going round supermarkets punching cakes! Oh how times have changed!

Bigfatpicnic · 10/05/2020 19:00

@namechangerx10000. I can’t remember what the final thread said about the lemon drizzle cake, I only wish I could! It was 7 years ago, and it still makes me laugh.
I haven’t seen @marmaladetwatkins on here for years. I miss her sense of humour.

Namechangex10000 · 10/05/2020 19:57

Ah what a shame, it’s been just what I needed, and much like the McDonald’s thread, not knowing the ending will drive me round the bend!

PamPooveysCow · 10/05/2020 20:51

@Thelnebriati thank you so much for the Hugo thread, genuinely wheezing with laughter Grin
