To settle?

How many people settle with someone who is nice, caring, not abusive, but not the love of your life?

I’m in my 30s, wanting a family, fed up of not being able to do proper adult things like go on holiday, buy a house, so on.

Is settling really the worst thing you can do?

I wouldn't settle. I spent a couple of years in my 20s with a man I loved but not enough, and made us both miserable. I like holidaying alone but also go with friends or family, I bought a house on my own after moving to the north west for work, and in 2018 I had a baby on my own. It works really well for me. I'm in my early 40s and life is mostly very good.

What is so difficult with finding someone you love that loves you who shares your values? The world is teeming with fascinating, interesting and beautiful people.

OP, could you plan to go on a holiday (after the virus has gone) where there's a high number of single people? There are some fantastic holidays abroad for people your age. You may not meet a guy there but you'd make new friends.

What sort of things do you like to do in your spare time?
