Bloke I’ve been seeing for 8 months. He says the weirdest phrases and says the strangest things I can’t get over my annoyance.

One of them is, he’ll yawn and then say “oh! I’m yawning well!”. Wtf does that even mean?? I’ve never heard it said before and he says it almost every day.
Another one is “we need to nip that in the bun” bun??!! I have told him that it’s bud but he carries on saying Bun. I find it annoying.

“Keep sure you do that” “keep sure to set your alarm” etc etc ... keep sure?!

Jellypeano on the pizza

There is other stuff too but relationship aside ... has anyone else heard of these sayings?? (Keep sure, yawning well etc)

Oh. I remember phone sex with a guy in the States who demanded I not shave my fanny as he liked the "flavour savers" 🤢🤢🤢

conduitoffortune · 08/03/2020 20:13

This thread has made my vagina shrivel up to nothingness and turn to dust.

sadeyedladyofthelowlandsea · 08/03/2020 20:21

lobster I'm quietly pissing myself laughing over 'hey ho, the wind and the rain' all over again. I mean, what the fuck do you say in response to that? 'Um, yes? And?' Grin

I had to stop phone sex with one guy because he kept saying 'panties'. ohdeargodno.

LittleMissnotLittleMrs · 08/03/2020 20:28

Oopsiguffs- that is finding its way into my vocab 🤣🤣🤣

SeaGale · 08/03/2020 20:38

"Muff guffing well"

CRYING here.....🤣🤣

alltoomuchrightnow · 08/03/2020 20:39

I'm probably going to have to dump DP because he frequently says 'Que?' instead of 'What?' (He's from Hull , not France)
My friend split up with a guy for his over use of the word 'lush', and for saying 'spot of lunch'.
I once went out with a complete caveman (over endowed to the point of pain, and didn't have a clue) who would always ask me if I wanted a 'herby tea'. Accompanied with his usual sniffing (nasal problems). He would also say he was 'randy as a ram'. That was the final no going back.
And my first boyfriend.... couldn't pronounce his 'Rs' and would try and seduce me saying he was 'widiculously wandy'

alltoomuchrightnow · 08/03/2020 20:40

The wandy BF would also ask if my 'Mrs Honeypot' was ready for him.

chatterbugmegastar · 08/03/2020 20:41

Do these men HEAR themselves? I assume not ConfusedHmmGrin

alltoomuchrightnow · 08/03/2020 20:42

By the way...the 'Randy as a ram' was in a very strong yorkshire accent

alltoomuchrightnow · 08/03/2020 20:43

i've really had my fair share.
Also a really lovely ex but he used to make me cringe as never called his mum, 'mum'. It was always 'mum mum'.
And another , nearly 40, who only ever called his, 'mummy'.

alltoomuchrightnow · 08/03/2020 20:49

Then there was the ex who referred to anything sexual that wasn't PIV, as 'light sex'. And 'light sex' could not be classed as cheating.

Leaannb · 08/03/2020 20:51

@sadeyedladyofthelowlandsea thats what they are so why be upset with the word

MitziK · 08/03/2020 20:52

Really couldn't go that far out of my way to make someone feel so shitty and probably embarrassed. Just tell them if you don't like something

Nah, didn't work with him. 'I don't want you touching raping me as I sleep' certainly didn't, at any rate. Hence being dumped.

GaaaaarlicBread · 08/03/2020 20:57

This thread has to be in the classics 😂😂

crustycrab · 08/03/2020 21:00

Wow @MitziK I take it all back. Although he only deserved it after the drip feed! Wouldn't do that just on someone's annoying phrase.

You should've wiped his bisketti in dog shit and cooked it up for him though.

cordeliavorkosigan · 08/03/2020 21:08

Classics!
Is OP ever going to come back and tell us about the sex and the technical issues?

SilveryWrath · 08/03/2020 21:15

Is he DelBoy Trotter ffs?!

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper · 08/03/2020 21:27

I know a woman in her 40s who refers to her mother as "mumsy". She also says "windypops" instead of "fart", "hubster" instead of "husband", and talks about preparing a "bot-bot" for a baby that's being bottle-fed. I think her hubster would find this thread quite therapeutic if he ever stumbled across it.

midnightstar66 · 08/03/2020 22:15

DC's DF says loads of things wrong but the biggest irritant is 'rack sack' for rucksack and 'saw throat' for sore throat. He is also one that says pacifically. I'm not sure how I managed to create 2 dc with that man

LittleBlackCurlyHairs · 08/03/2020 22:23

Technical problems - he can’t get it up but gets random erections. When this happens he dives on me shouting “quick!! It’s working!!!”

Nothing turns me on less.

OP posts:
TheVanguardSix · 08/03/2020 22:28

OP, you're still talking about him in present tense!
You want to nip this in the bud before you end up with his bun in your oven. Keep sure that doesn't happen!

incognitomum · 08/03/2020 22:30

OP he's a keeper Grin

chilling19 · 08/03/2020 22:31

'Quick it's working!' Noooooooooo. 😂😂😂😂

Notredamn · 08/03/2020 22:32

You've got the itch to ditch. Scratch it!

123Dancewithme · 08/03/2020 22:33

An ex used to call PIV sex “proper stuff” and non PIV sex “not-proper stuff” - wtf Confused
