First world problem, new house, too many bedrooms but I think iabu

Dh and I are moving to a new house. It has 4 double bedrooms (the master has a small walk through wardrobe to the en-suite) and a single. There’s also an office downstairs. There are just two of us, no children.
We can’t agree on how to use the bedrooms and it’s causing issues.
Ideally I’d like a double room as a dressing room/ wardrobe and we both need an office plus I’d like to have 2 spare rooms and dh would like a gym.
Any ideas on how to structure it?

Ditch the dressing room as you have one.

Downstairs office = gym
Single bedroom = office for him
Double bedroom = office for you (as he gets gym!) plus decent sofa bed/futon for guests
Double bedroom = “proper” kitted out guest bedroom

Then you can reclaim a room when he never uses the gym...

I don’t think gym in garage is a terrible idea if he’ll go for it. You shouldn’t need it heated if you’re working out!

@Bodear It sounds like you went for the cheap option and should have bought a bigger house.

I have a small 3 bedroomed terrace house and fantasise about an extra reception room (and a 9 bedroomed castle), and I don't understand the jealousy. Unless the OP sold you into slavery or stole your Nan's life savings her house has no impact on you at all.

Gym in a garage for sure, no hearing is better, you get hot in no time.

that ad for a luxury flat only highlight the stupidity of classing property by the amount of "bedroom" in this country.

I posted before all the hilarious angry replies. We live in a tiny Victorian 2 bed and are expecting child number 2. Wouldn’t cross my mind to be angry about someone having a 4 bed. They could live in a cheap town in the midlands or in NI where 4 beds can be found for a song...or not...who cares!
