To think Naked Attraction is just a really weird programme?

I’m extremely late to the party I know but I've just watched a few episodes.

Just....wtf?! The last 2, they’ve spread food on the contestant’s bodies and have been licking it off, gross.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s entertaining all right and I’m no prude but I just cannot imagine wanting the whole nation to see me naked and hear me talking openly about what I’ve done in bed/ what I’d like to do in bed etc and then see Kathy from no 35 down the village shop the week after. I’d just die.

I just find it so strange that it’s almost not believable (I know it is real) surely if you wanted to go on a tv dating show first dates or something would be a bit less embarrassing?!

AIBU to find it just....weird? Has anyone from here been on it?

The thing that strikes me is how deeply un-sexy it is.
I get theyre trying to be all trendy and open and sexy and "aren't we cool- look at how relaxed we are about nakedness" etc but ironically, seeing men's scrotums just hanging there without being able to see a face attached is the least sexiest thing on the planet. Its a huge turn off.

Exactly. If you like the look of someone with their clothes on, the chances of not liking them with them off is pretty small I’d have thought.

@Thedogscollar they have Naked Attraction in Germany too. They also have another naked dating show called Adam and Eve as well I think

It's weird viewing, I don't then on my TV specifically to watch it but I sometimes catch it when I turn on my TV and it's on Channel 4 from last time I've been watching. There was one a couple of weeks ago where the post date interview was soooooo awkward. She accused him of more or less stalking her and wanting her to be the mother of his kids (this guy was only 22) and he retorted with "yeah well you still slept with me after a week". I could feel the awkwardness through my TV

I watch this occasionally. I don't mind it as they show a good range of bodies and counterbalance the porn star mind set of what a body should look like. The thing that gets me though is how little chemistry there is between couples on their dates. I've never seen a couple hit it off (do they ever? Regular watchers please educate me!!) it seems as though having met naked the mystery and tension has been lost.
Also, these people have good jobs, friends, family.... how do they look them in the eye afterwards knowing that they're thinking "I've seen your knob mate!" ?

I am guilty of watching it but it is cringe for the people on it. Imagine tuning into it and finding a friend, relative or an ex etc etc butt naked on TV 🤣 There was a guy local to me on it but don’t really know him nor do I want to bump into him 🤣

I still remember the horror of watching Googlebox with my elderly parents when this show was featured. That was bad enough. I caught an episode by chance once and was weirdly transfixed with horror. Apparently someone I know vaguely through work was on the show a while ago - how on earth could you face your whole office when they've seen your giblets on HDTV and heard you discussing what you love to do in bed? I am very, very far from prudish, but I couldn't do that!

I believe a lot of the people on EB had been seen by GPs and had no luck with treatment / were on massive waiting lists. EB offering private treatment for free which honestly, I would have snapped up if I was suffering as much as some tbf.

I find it quite refreshing in as far as the people are all shapes and sizes so it does at least normalise....normality! Mind, I’m still having hideous visions of the disco dancing bloke. I’ve never previously considered throwing a few shapes to be actively disturbing but I do now!

And the little inane interjections of 'science' voiced by the presenter in a "now I'm going to tell you something SO interesting" tone, then states a useless, ridiculous and inconsequential 'fact' e.g '"17.54 % of women have a pet name for their fanny", are just to pretend that the programme isn't about ogling cocks and tits. For me the cringe comes from Anna Richardson being so 'cool' and 'woke' when saying things like
