When you go to stay at others houses who are not dog owners without your dogs do you make the bedding and soft furnishings stink of dogs?

If not why not?

OP posts:
Dahlietta · 29/12/2019 18:14

Huh?

BaolFan · 29/12/2019 18:14

Erm...because I wash myself and my clothes and my dogs don't sleep in my laundry and ironing baskets, or my wardrobes... Confused

Iwasneveragoddess · 29/12/2019 18:15

No when you stay at other peoples houses do you make their houses/cars smell of dog and leave dog hair everywhere?

OP posts:
Oysterbabe · 29/12/2019 18:15

What?

ChocolateRaisin · 29/12/2019 18:16

Probably because I’m not a dog... Hmm

missyB1 · 29/12/2019 18:16

I'm confused. If you go without your dog how can you make someone else's house smell of dog?

Dahlietta · 29/12/2019 18:18

You're going to have to explain who or what you are complaining about, OP.
Do you know someone who brings little boxes of dog hair to scatter like confetti when they get in your car?

Ylvamoon · 29/12/2019 18:18

Biscuit Wine

Newkitchen123 · 29/12/2019 18:20

At a guess I would say OP had guests who brought a dog and they're not happy with the state they left the house
Just a guess
In answer to your question no I don't

WorraLiberty · 29/12/2019 18:21

Has Mumsnet been invaded by 8 year olds today? Confused

Honestly, opening posts are getting weirder and weirder.

Bunnybigears · 29/12/2019 18:22

No because I am not a dog and I wash myself and my clothes Hmm

WhoisitnowRalph · 29/12/2019 18:22

Spit it out, what's the problem

Iwasneveragoddess · 29/12/2019 18:22

Have guests who have two dogs who did not come.

Bedding, furniture and car now stink of dog and car covered in dog hair.

I haven’t met the dog.

OP posts:
Killerqueen2244 · 29/12/2019 18:22

Yes on purpose, why?

Hmm
countrygirl99 · 29/12/2019 18:22

Yes. I also bark if they don't fuss me and scratch at the door if I want to go in the garden to wee.

Iwasneveragoddess · 29/12/2019 18:22

*the dogs didn’t come.

I do not have dogs.

OP posts:
Dahlietta · 29/12/2019 18:23

But, NewKitchen123, it's the weird reference to not bringing your dog! Or is the point supposed to be that it wouldn't have happened if they hadn't brought the dogs? Who knows?!

Wolfiefan · 29/12/2019 18:24

You have ghost dogs OP. It’s the only answer.

Dahlietta · 29/12/2019 18:24

Oh sorry, I cross-posted with everyone. Definitely they brought a little bag of dog hair and spread it around when you weren't looking, OP.

WorraLiberty · 29/12/2019 18:24

You have dirty smelly friends

LigPatin · 29/12/2019 18:25

Maybe they're werewolves, and there are actually no pet dogs.

MartyrGuacamole · 29/12/2019 18:25

Are they generally quite unclean? We just returned from a visit with my giant breed fluffy dog at a friend's house. Even though the dog was with us we hoovered 2/3 times a day, did not allow it on furniture and brushed the dog at least once a day outside. We walked her regularly and cleaned her feet before we returned. Even though the dog was there it didn't affect their furnishings in anyway that a quick vac couldn't undo.

needanewnamechange · 29/12/2019 18:28

Ha ha Grin best thread of the day maybe even the week.

Pulpfiction1 · 29/12/2019 18:28

I don't think you're very good friends if you're that angry at them for having dog hair on their clothes.

It does sound like they are a bit trampy, but if you are a true friend then over look it - or don't be friends anymore.

Sexnotgender · 29/12/2019 18:30

No. My clothes are changed daily.

HOWEVER, my dogs are greyhounds and are very different coat wise to say a golden retriever.
