When you go to stay at others houses who are not dog owners without your dogs do you make the bedding and soft furnishings stink of dogs?

If not why not?

Summer time maybe... Dhusky sheds more than is manageable at times!!
I may involuntarily wear some whilst out and about!!

BaolFan · 29/12/2019 18:32

No when you stay at other peoples houses do you make their houses/cars smell of dog and leave dog hair everywhere?

No, for the reasons I've already stated. What exactly wasn't clear to you?

thesunhasgothishatontoday · 29/12/2019 18:33

@countrygirl me too. Plus I beg at table if I'm not being fed. Occasionally hump hosts leg too

BarkandCheese · 29/12/2019 18:34

I don’t, because my dog isn’t a smelly or shedding breed. I suspect your friends don’t notice the smell or hair, in the same way smokers often don’t realise how bad they smell.

Getitwright · 29/12/2019 18:35

Perhaps they brought along some comfort items to make them feel more at home?Xmas Grin

Theworldisfullofgs · 29/12/2019 18:35

I agree that your friends are werewolves.

vampirethriller · 29/12/2019 18:37

Yes, they're werewolves, or OP is a cat.

Aprilsinparis · 29/12/2019 18:37

They are too busy wondering why I'm humping their legs, to worry about any smells I might be leaving behind.

WireBrushAndDettolMaam · 29/12/2019 18:38

They did it on purpose to wind you up.

candycane22 · 29/12/2019 18:41

I get what you mean OP. Guess it depends on type of dog. Some owners reek of dog, others less so. If it is a heavy scent it may linger.

Iwasneveragoddess · 29/12/2019 18:44

@candycane22

Thank you!

Paddingtonthebear · 29/12/2019 18:44

No, because 1) I wash my hair, clothes and body regularly and 2) my dog does not shed

GoGoLego · 29/12/2019 18:44

No not at all. And tbh my own home doesn't smell particularly doggy either.

Dipsydoodle · 29/12/2019 18:49

What a load of bollocks.

dworky · 29/12/2019 18:50

Of course - it's the sole reason I have dogs!

Iwasneveragoddess · 29/12/2019 18:50

These are children guests.

Stressedout10 · 29/12/2019 18:52

Would like to say no but like pp I have a huskie and it just gets everywhere so the occasional tuft/clump is bound to come with me but smell no ddog insists on regular baths/showers so doesn't smell nor do I

Tombliwho · 29/12/2019 18:53

I'd be quite worried if my dog was grotty enough that I absolutely stank and left a trail of dog hair at someone else's house..
My own house isn't even covered in dog hair.

pinkstripeycat · 29/12/2019 18:56

Dahlietta

Do you know someone who brings little boxes of dog hair to scatter like confetti when they get in your car?

Grin this is funny

Disfordarkchocolate · 29/12/2019 18:57

I worked with someone who was always coated in cat hair, it wasn't nice. It was the exception though, I've never come across anything like it again.

pinkstripeycat · 29/12/2019 18:59

I have a friend who has 6 dogs. Her house is absolutely covered with dog hair and smells really doggy but she doesn’t smell of dog herself and doesn’t drop dog hair anywhere

recrudescence · 29/12/2019 19:01

Horse people can definitely leave a faint smell of nag in their wake and on your soft furnishings. But that’s what Febreeze is for, isn’t it?

Littlemeadow123 · 29/12/2019 19:03

Did you have someone stay at your house who did this OP? In which case then they definitely must have snuck their dog in with them.

Not seen many posts on here that make me hysterical with laughter so thanks for that. Smile

Iwasneveragoddess · 29/12/2019 19:04

I fess up - these are my step children not guests and I wanted to know if this is normal without looking like an evil stepmother bitching about her step children/their mother.
