chomalungma · 17/12/2019 19:11

Well, it's been done for Trump since he got elected.
No doubt some people will complain it's on AIBU - but it's a place with traffic.

So let's use this to keep an eye on the changes under Boris.

First Thing:

Boris introduces clause in the withdrawal agreement so the UK must leave with WTO rules if there is no trade agreement with the EU by the end of 2020

www.theguardian.com/business/2019/dec/17/pound-slides-to-pre-election-levels-in-wake-of-bid-to-outlaw-brexit-extension

Feel free to comment and add things that you notice changing. The Trump threads are at 97 now.

Thanks

Leighhalfpennysthigh · 17/12/2019 19:35

Good plan.

And so the lies are starting to unravel.....it would be good to be able to have one place to collate everything.

Bodyposiftw · 17/12/2019 19:37

Thanks for the thread

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 17/12/2019 19:38

Thanks for the thread.

MereDintofPandiculation · 17/12/2019 19:38

Government refuses to confirm that pledges made to MPs in October on workers' rights and environment won't be rescinded in the Withdrawal Bill www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/boris-johnson-brexit-workers-rights-environment-climate-change-election-a9248611.html

Aryaneedle · 17/12/2019 19:42

Also just putting in that he's backtracked on the pledge to allow MO's a vote on any extension and also said he would keep workers rights in transition period but has now said that is up for debate.

Also this thread should be here so that we can discuss any outcomes if the Russian electoral influence report...

Aryaneedle · 17/12/2019 19:42

Sorry for the typos.

HiHoToffee · 17/12/2019 19:43

Always worth keeping a track on changes.....

PMK. Thanks, and following.

Will the Russian report even see the light of day?

Aryaneedle · 17/12/2019 19:46

It bloody better do. It's the only thing I've got to look forward to Grin he can't withhold it can he?

ssd · 17/12/2019 19:48

Thanks for this thread

IpanemaGallina · 17/12/2019 19:54

Placemarking. Will be interesting, albeit worrying, watching all the Boris lies unravel.

ListeningQuietly · 17/12/2019 19:56

The President of the USA and the Prime Minister of the UK are both important enough to be on the busiest board on MN

and when they meet to do our excellent trade deal all will be well

BigChocFrenzy · 17/12/2019 20:00

Excellent idea

We've got the watch thread series for the US President, so why shouldn't we have one for the UK PM

  • the British Trump
BoreOfWhabylon · 17/12/2019 20:03

So who do we think is going to be Ambassador to the USA?

And vice versa?

theunknownknown · 17/12/2019 20:04

Lets just hold this one here as well.
Good idea for a thread OP. The lying, morally bankrupt, adulterer that we have as an MP needs a very close eye kept on him.
And those that voted for him need to be reminded of the lies and untruths that spew from this right wing cabinet.

Just in case anyone isn't absolutely happy as things progress, doesn't matter if you voted for them or not, if you are not happy, they work for you and you pay them so feel free to contact them at any time. Keep it civil though. Smile

John470322 · 17/12/2019 20:08

Thanks for starting this thread. We don't have many fans of Boris in Scotland.

onalongsabbatical · 17/12/2019 20:09

I'm in. Hold the buffoon and his super-duper parliament to account.

yolofish · 17/12/2019 20:09

frumpety absolutely right. They work for us, whether we voted for them or not, and they should know our opinions. Whether they act on them or not is of course another thing.

GeistohneGrenzen · 17/12/2019 20:11

Glad to see this thread.... thank you Smile

Mollychristmas · 17/12/2019 20:11

Thanks for the thread. Wine

"So who do we think is going to be Ambassador to the USA?"

Well, now that Farage seems to have crashed his 2nd party in a row, is he worth that much politically to BJ ?
Looks like a dead parrot frog

Who would BJ or Cummings like to sweeten up / reward ?

A big donor, maybe ?
Hopefully not one of the Russian businessmen who gave millions to the Tories & Leave

Or someone he wants out of the HoC ?
