To give £100 Xmas bonus to cleaner

AlorMy · 17/12/2019 16:36

Usually pay her £25 a week.

She’s been cleaning my home about 8 months so first Xmas.

I’m thinking of £100. Is that too much? Not enough?

YABU = too little
YANBU = anything else (just right/too much)

I think that's a generous bonus.

WitchDancer · 17/12/2019 16:38

Holy moly! I normally get a small gift for mine, maximum £15 but more likely about £10.

I'm hoping I haven't got it seriously wrong cos that's what I've done for about 10 years now 🤞

user1483387154 · 17/12/2019 16:38

too much.

Winterdaysarehere · 17/12/2019 16:38

Cleaner here!! Wow Judith I hope that's you!!
Xmas Grin

holly40 · 17/12/2019 16:38

Seems a bit much to me. A weeks pay extra would be generous.

Livedandlearned · 17/12/2019 16:39

£50 is a good amount

Feelingpoorlysick · 17/12/2019 16:40

If you think her work is worth it and you can afford it then give her the 100. She'll be chuffed!

Longdistance · 17/12/2019 16:40

She must be a good cleaner. Send her in my direction please Grin

Peridot1 · 17/12/2019 16:40

I usually give £50.

Dinosforall · 17/12/2019 16:40

Totally OTT! A week's pay seems to be the going rate.

LadyGAgain · 17/12/2019 16:41

I think another weeks pay is decent but give what you can afford!

TowelStripes · 17/12/2019 16:41

Too much

maddy68 · 17/12/2019 16:41

I just buy a small gift for mine ...

TheStirrer · 17/12/2019 16:41

Weeks pay usual here

EnglishRose1320 · 17/12/2019 16:42

I think I'd go with £25-50.

RandomWok · 17/12/2019 16:42

If you can comfortably afford it then why not? It'll make her Christmas!

charm8ed · 17/12/2019 16:42

I think £20 would be enough. I just received £20 from someone I work for 3 hours a week at £25 per hour (not cleaning) and I was really happy with it.

lisag1969 · 17/12/2019 16:42

£50. X

SomeoneInTheLaaaaaounge · 17/12/2019 16:42

It’s nice, kind and not too much. Imagine what a wonderful difference it will make in her Xmas pay packet.

ItsJustTheOneSwanActually · 17/12/2019 16:42

i give 2 hours pay. That's a lot!

CakeandCustard28 · 17/12/2019 16:42

Very generous of you that’s for sure. You’ll make her day.

Mycatisthebest · 17/12/2019 16:43

If you can afford it why not!

IHaveBrilloHair · 17/12/2019 16:43

V generous, but absolutely do it!
My cleaner has become a really good friend so I'm treating her to a meal out in January this year.

KitKat1985 · 17/12/2019 16:44

Very generous and I'm sure would be appreciated, but certainly no need to give that much. x

TeapotCollection · 17/12/2019 16:45
