dp phrases that give you the rage

sassypants72 · 10/12/2019 21:06

Is it just me that gets the rage over phrases that partners always use in an argument??

When ever we have had an argument he always states that he's not arguing, he's stating facts (which is utter crap btw). It just makes me go arrrggggg and want to slap him (never have, and wouldn't) it just makes me feel that way.

Please tell me I'm not alone Grin

No you're not.

"Yeah, right" absolutely riles me up!

Hecksonaplane · 10/12/2019 21:17

"Do you see where I'm coming from?" Xmas Angry

No, but I know where you're going if you say that again Grin

MyHairNeedsASnip · 10/12/2019 21:19

"whatever"

Absolute hissing ball of rage...

TheoriginalLEM · 10/12/2019 21:20

"Eat what you want, leave what you don't " to fussy eater dd - fuck off!!!

nothingcanhurtmewithmyeyesshut · 10/12/2019 21:23

Okay. Said in a flat dismissive tone with no engagement whatsoever. Makes me want to wring his neck.

Flyingfish2019 · 10/12/2019 21:23

“I understand“, “I see“.

I do not even know why I dislike this so much. Dh always says this when he has no idea what I am talking about OR totally disagrees with me.

Tutlefru · 10/12/2019 21:24

Having an argument and I say something he may not agree with he will say CLEARLY in an annoying sarcastic tone.

Just piss off you’re clearly being a nob.

PowerHooper · 10/12/2019 21:27

DH overuses the word 'vile' to describe any behaviour/opinion/event he thinks inappropriate, regardless of severity. Now I've noticed, in a 'heated discussion' setting, it's like nails down a blackboard.

Mehmehmeh19 · 10/12/2019 21:30

When I ever say I don't understand something

DH pipes up with Chinese writing

Makes fuck all sense gives me absolute fucking rage 😡😡

Duchessgummybuns · 10/12/2019 21:30

ExH was fond of saying “I’ve told you MULTIPLE times”

Was probably the only multiple in our 9 year marriage.

thisusernameismine · 10/12/2019 21:33

Saying he is just "having a conversation" when he's clearly arguing with what I'm saying just for the sake of it 🤬

chloxox08 · 10/12/2019 21:33

'Here we go again' even if we're arguing about something we've NEVER EVEN SPOKE ABOUT BEFORE. Infuriates me, he hasn't said it in a while because he knows that phrase is the difference between a bicker and a full blown row!😂

littlemeitslyn · 10/12/2019 21:34

O. K.

Is worse!

FuckoffAlexa · 10/12/2019 21:36

"what you want to do is...."

No, that's what you want to do. What I want to do is what I am actually doing.

dementedma · 10/12/2019 21:36

duchessgummybuns nice one. That made me laugh.

When DH is annoying me with some stupid argument I say gravely, “ Well, you are probably right. I’m sure you know more about these things that I do”

it drives him nuts!!

Flyingfish2019 · 10/12/2019 21:37

@Everybody: how do you react when your spouse uses thatphrases you hate?

thesunhasgothishatontoday · 10/12/2019 21:40

"But have you looked at from their perspective"? EVERY FUCKING TIME!! His arse must be so sore from sitting on the fence. Just once please just agree that someone is being a cunt instead of implying that I'm the cunt 😭😭

CurlsandCurves · 10/12/2019 21:41

When DH knows he is in the wrong, he will go with ‘N what?’

But he’ll only ever say it once because I will either ask if he’s 12 years old or if he’s auditioning for Catherine Tate (‘am i bovvered)

Lorddenning1 · 10/12/2019 21:42

My other OH, are you in a mood, me: no, yes you are I can tell, no I'm not in a mood just tired, so why are you being moody then?
I'm not moody stop saying I'm moody, see I can tell that you are by the way your saying it, me: I'm saying it like that because you keep asking me if I'm in a mood and Iv answered that I'm not in a flipping mood. Walks away "okay moody" then I'm sat there scowling in a mood!

IfWishesWereFishes · 10/12/2019 21:47

Nothing, he just sighs as often as he regularly breathes. Angry

30not13 · 10/12/2019 21:51

"I dont mind, you decide"

Anything from tea to tv to where to go for a day out.

JUST CHOOSE SOMETHING FFS

TheLette · 10/12/2019 21:51

"you are just building a straw man" no! I'm not. I hate that expression.

PleaseGiveMeAShake · 10/12/2019 21:55

"If I did it I'm sorry" with his little woe is me face Angry

It was recently used 4 days ago when he went for a quick shower, flooded the bathroom and didn't tell me.

Que "if it was me I'm sorry"
Of course it was fecking him.
The 2 dc and I where sitting doing homework from when he came in until I found my new pond.Hmm

Minxmumma · 10/12/2019 22:01

'I'm not going to answer you because you've already decided drives me round the twist.

My vengeance is a clipped Yes Dear Certainly Dear..... he knows I am ignoring him

Toffeecakes · 10/12/2019 22:02

“What I’m saying is” whenever I tell DH he’s being unreasonable, because he thinks I’ve misunderstood.

No, DH, I know exactly what you said - you’re wrong!
