We’ve only got a Christmas issue!

The Beverly household is at a loggerhead. There will be no turkey should we not resolve this issue, family members will refuse to visit, the children will demand more expensive gifts and and the pigs will surely shed their blankets.

Which baubles shall we decorate our tree with? The classic set or the more modern set?

Please help us avoid a Christmas disaster.

The modern set only because the 'traditional' look absolutely shite. No need to be boring to be traditional. The colours are dull and they look cheap.

Use both!
Our tree will be a mish mash of all sorts.

Can’t do both because we have lots of ‘special’ baubles.

These are like filler baubles if you see what I mean - but they are still important for our Christmas spirit.

MyKingdom would be willing to find better traditional style baubles to avoid a cheap look. It’s more about the colours at the moment.

DH has surprisingly strong feelings on the matter and so do I.

Both, plus all the baubles of yesteryear.

Family trees always look better in random

Definitely both. And then a few more boxes of baubles. There’s about 150 on our tree. All mish mashed.

Not keen on either of these examples but if it’s colours you’re considering then red, green and gold trump all others.

I like the traditional ones. But half of both would work.

Our tree sounds like yours, we have family baubles (the children have been given a new Christmas tree decoration since they were young and then I fill the tree with red or gold round baubles so I would go for the plainer more traditional ones.i feel that the family ones then stand out more,

I'm usually a traditional kinda gal, but I absolutely love those pyramid baubles!

I'm normally all for traditional, but I prefer those modern ones.

Time to buy a second tree!!

Normally I would always vote traditional but those are not nice and the modern ones are lovely.
