Caitlin Moran that is.

See timesonline.typepad.com/alphamummy/

But then my children haven't really taken to Charlie and Lola, so I'm biased...

But why on earth would she mean that Fio? She LOVES Charlie & Lola and often says that. She obviously loves it a bit too much and it plays rather too large a role in her life She is not remotely teh type to gloat over someone else's childlessness.

I love the way every debate on MN inevitably ends in a bitchfest! Brilliant! And the usual suspects are always in there, in the thick of it, spouting sarkiness.

Ah, such predictability is comforting in a crazy, mixed up world.

aloha · 22/08/2007 15:54

I suspect wine played a role. (is that libellous??)

Dropdeadfred · 22/08/2007 15:54

Loveangel...glad to have entertained. I have never been on the recieving end of the MN vitriol before, but couldn't care less..

oliveoil · 22/08/2007 15:55

oh as IF it is vitriol

I have seen far worse on here

Hurlyburly · 22/08/2007 15:56

Seen? Or doled out?

Now that is not bitchy at all HB, oh no, not at all.

oliveoil · 22/08/2007 15:57

I don't do vitriol

I do withering sarcasm

Dropdeadfred · 22/08/2007 15:57

Oh okay OO - don't want to split hairs. I have never had anyone strongly disagree with me, call me wrong, deluded, insane, bonkers etc

Dropdeadfred · 22/08/2007 15:58

OO you perhaps need to practise the sarcasm...

oliveoil · 22/08/2007 15:58

if the cap fits...

and on that note, I am off home

toodledoo

Hurlyburly · 22/08/2007 15:59

You forgot "freak" Drop Dead. I was particularly smarting at freak. Was not nice.

Dropdeadfred · 22/08/2007 16:00

Oh yes HB...well I tend to forget quickly..but yes freak wasn't nice..

LoveAngel · 22/08/2007 16:01

MN is a shocker of a place for bitchiness. You could post up the most innocent of messages - urm, 'I like apples, I do' for example - and at least a quarter of your replies would be something along the lines of:

'Apples? Oh FFS fuck off you silly bitch!'

'Apples? My God, you are thick, aren't you?'

'Apples? Don't you know that feeding your children too many apples is bordering on child abuse? You disgust me'

'Apples?! Urgh. I hope an apple falls on your head one day and you die.'

etc etc

Its brutal. I say release that inner bitch or discover Netmums. There is no other option.

p.s. very entertaining, yes!

morningpaper · 22/08/2007 16:02

hmm it seems more like a bit of meedja trivia rather than spiteful gossip

I mean have you ever READ the Times? There is far worse crap than that in there...

And I hope none of you ever buy OK! or ShitWoman! or any of those other magazines for laydees

Carmenere · 22/08/2007 16:03

Bloody hell, everybody, just calm down. We on mn all value freedom of speech. We know that peoples opinions differ from ours and that it doesn't make them nasty people. Let's just forget about CM, LC C&L and all the mudslinging that went on today.

I for one will be happy to see any of you on any other thread for some light-hearted witticisms and friendly banter.

Dropdeadfred · 22/08/2007 16:03

I have armour Loveangel don't worry ( muncjes and apple...)..

Mercy · 22/08/2007 16:04

Have just read the blog (not come across it before)

I interpreted it as a piss-take of Alphamummy types rather than Caitlin Moran's own views.

Or am I being dense?
