Caitlin Moran that is.

See timesonline.typepad.com/alphamummy/

But then my children haven't really taken to Charlie and Lola, so I'm biased...

read the whole article if you can stomach it...

Dropdeadfred · 22/08/2007 12:04

can we find out why our messages were deleted? I guess mine could have come across as an attack...

lucyellensmum · 22/08/2007 12:04

i do just wonder though, if she was desperate for something to fill her column - it does seem to have generated a good bit of attention, so shit journalism , thoughtless and inconsiderate, arrogant - well..i lieave that to you to decide.

But Lauren Child does have a son called Soren, a real one, not an unborn one. Confused There is a photo of a boy who looks just like Charlie, wearing the t-shirt with Soren printed on it on the inside of "I will never not ever eat a tomato". The dedication says "This book is fro Soren who is crazy about tomatoes but would never eat a baked bean with love freom Laurent who is keen on Marmite but would rather not eat a raisin".

Admittedly it doesn't actually say he is her son, but I alwasy assumed he was.

i don't think you can delete something that is fact..

LazyLineLegilimens · 22/08/2007 12:11

I'm not sure why she feels that it is either amusing or acceptable to create a shoddy column based on some gossip that she heard about someone elses business. And that she seems to think it's amusing that LC split up with someone because they weren't going to have children.

Aside from the fact that it's none of her fucking business, who does she think she is?

LazyLineLegilimens · 22/08/2007 12:13

What did you have deleted, DDF?

Dropdeadfred · 22/08/2007 12:13

she thinks she is a journalist and so apparently do her employers..

Sad really...

I forget exactly but i do think i refreed to someone who writes things like that as an uncompassionate, vapid, hard-faced bitch..

wonder if this will go too?

JeremyVile · 22/08/2007 12:15

DDF - I think you'll find that she is indeed a Journalist.

Dropdeadfred · 22/08/2007 12:16

jura..that's okay - you are entitled to your opinion...and it doesn't particularly worry me if it gets deletedagain although I don't think my opinion is a personal attack...

Dropdeadfred · 22/08/2007 12:16

yes JV - thats what makes it sad...

JeremyVile · 22/08/2007 12:16

DDF - are you stressed?

Did some bugger pinch your last Jaffa Cake?

If so, I sympathise, I also become completely irrational when that happens to me....

Dropdeadfred · 22/08/2007 12:18

no JV - I have a triple pack of jaffa cakes in the cupboard..

I know I can't seem to get my point across so I will give up soon - I just hate the thought of someone actually being paid for writing such empty-headed, nasty shite. It's so uncaring...

Jura - you're right of course. I changed the words slightly so you wouldn't rush to get that deleted straight away too.

JV - what exactly have I said that is wrong? [hmm}
