Caitlin Moran that is.

See timesonline.typepad.com/alphamummy/

But then my children haven't really taken to Charlie and Lola, so I'm biased...

Sorry everyone...I can't really explain what I'm so cross about this, so I'm probably overeacting..

I'm truly socked that people can get paid for writing such spiteful shit...

oliveoil · 22/08/2007 11:22
Hmm
Dropdeadfred · 22/08/2007 11:23

she said she found the Charlie and Lola story even more 'gossip-worthy' than the tragic death at Michael Barrymores house...

I don't need to get a grip thanks all the same

Dropdeadfred · 22/08/2007 11:23

shocked obviously not socked...

lucyellensmum · 22/08/2007 11:23

I just don't see what you are all getting so worked up about

and I don't watch C&L as I find their voices quite annoying

Dropdeadfred · 22/08/2007 11:25

Olive...why comment if you don't wish to explain?

oliveoil · 22/08/2007 11:26

explain what?

Carmenere · 22/08/2007 11:26

A personal attack on another mner perhaps?

you are all as mad as a box of frogs

sugarmatches · 22/08/2007 11:27

I just don't get this article.
We are huge Charlie and Lola lovers, but this is gossip about fictional characters as she has never had a son. And naming a character after your doofus ex has been done before...better imo. Loads of writers do it.
I don't get the giddyness.
But I love the books

Dropdeadfred · 22/08/2007 11:27

xposts...do you not find it all distasteful that she belives sme home-spun crap that she has invented about an author is just a juicy piece of gossip, like the death of a young man...?

alycat · 22/08/2007 11:30

Who is HD?

Dropdeadfred · 22/08/2007 11:31

Good point wabbit- that should hve gone s soon as started

Just read article and although it might be something to talk about at a party its hardly something to write and seemingly gloat about I dont think she thought this article through

ledodgy · 22/08/2007 11:33

I agree with Olive. Yes maybe the reference to Michael Barrymore was out of order but it seems like an off the cuff remark to me along with the one about JFK's shooting. She obviously wanted to emphasise how gossip worthy she thought this info was rightly or wrongly.

I am a C&L fan and I found this info interesting.
