Flowers for sister

I really need other opinions in relation to I'f I am being unreasonable as something happened last night that has really annoyed me
DH in 3 years we have been together has never bought me a bunch of flowers from a florist , iv often really hoped one day he would buy me a really nice bunch , not to sound ungrateful but I think iv received 3/4 bunches in the full time of our relationship and all have been supermarket bought ,at the time of receiving them iv always been grateful and thanked him
Anyway last night , so he nips out for present for his sisters birthday , comes home with an expensive looking bunch from interflora florist for her , its really pissed me off to be honest and I cant seem to shake my annoyance
Iv not said much to him today and I think he knows I'm pissed off
I just cant understand that he can make an effort for his sister but not me

Is it her birthday present? Or to go with a present?

Why don't you tell him how much you like them, and would love some similar one day

They are for her birthday which obviously I would have absoloutley no issue with as it's his sister of course not
The issue is the fact he has never gone to the effort of florist flowers for me and If I'm honest its really hurt my feeling

I would struggle to get worked up about this, unless you think he is quite casual with you in general?

Anyway, tell him you want flowers from the florist. He’s not a mindreader.

Perhaps, if in his family flowers are a present for mum/sister/aunty, then to him, they aren't a romantic thing he would by for his lover... It might just not occur to him to buy them for you, especially if you've never said you would like some. Did you prompt or drop hints when he got you the supermarket ones? (Cos they are the obvious hole in my theory )

In 15 years I don't think DH has ever given me flowers, cool jewellery yes, great plants yes, bunches of flowers no. I'm glad to be honest, my Nan always said flowers are for the dead. I would much rather have a living plant.

You're being unreasonable to moan about it here instead of, you know, telling him how it's made you feel and what you want.

I'm with OP. He knows that supermarket flowers are not good enough for his sister's birthday, why are they good enough for OP?

Mind you, I've never even had garage flowers from DH. I've only ever had yellow sticker, battered end of the day flowers.

Do you know what DH? I thought the flowers you bought for your DSis were lovely. If you are ever looking to get me extras for Valentines/Anniversary etc I would definitely appreciate posh flower shop flowers over and above usual super market ones.
