Flowers for sister

I really need other opinions in relation to I'f I am being unreasonable as something happened last night that has really annoyed me
DH in 3 years we have been together has never bought me a bunch of flowers from a florist , iv often really hoped one day he would buy me a really nice bunch , not to sound ungrateful but I think iv received 3/4 bunches in the full time of our relationship and all have been supermarket bought ,at the time of receiving them iv always been grateful and thanked him
Anyway last night , so he nips out for present for his sisters birthday , comes home with an expensive looking bunch from interflora florist for her , its really pissed me off to be honest and I cant seem to shake my annoyance
Iv not said much to him today and I think he knows I'm pissed off
I just cant understand that he can make an effort for his sister but not me

Well the vote is in my favour so there are others who see this as shitty also
I'm.not dramatic at all and our relationship is generally good but this has annoyed me.

FWIW I didn’t get flowers for the first 6-7 years of my relationship, only when I said clearly I would like some nice ones for mother’s day did my DH get the hint 😃

I could understand your point if he never bought you flowers, or he didn’t get you anything for your birthday... but he does buy you flowers (I don’t really care where from) and he buys you expensive thoughtful gifts that you really want. Not unreasonable at all. YOU should be the woman in his life that is catered to, flattered, held on a pedestal, etc, etc. Absolutely NOT his sister. It's hard to put into words for people who have never been treated as 2nd best to a husband's sister. I have, so I completely get it. I know it can be hard to understand for people who have never been there before. you deserve them!

Both DH and I have florists in the family, florist flowers are overpriced and often not very good. I also don't see how popping into a florist is any harder or more effort than popping into Waitrose. He got you a games console I assume you wanted and cost a lot more than flowers? I buy flowers for the house regularly and arrange them myself, why don't you do the same if you like them

I remember another thing I'd hear my husband saying to try to make himself sound good, "I'm not that guy that is going to buy flowers on Valentine's day like every other guy because they HAVE to. I the guy that will come home with roses any old day just because! "

Needless to say 20 years later, I can't remember that EVER happening. ...
