To wonder what the worst swear word is?

To wonder how swear words vary in severity. To me, I think they’re all as bad as each other however, some believe that bitch, for example, is mild and not as bad as fuck.

OP posts:

Ya big twat

MyHairNeedsASnip · 15/10/2019 21:21

That's true Count hadn't thought of that

HEMammajamma · 15/10/2019 21:22

cunty chops Saw on a thread about funniest/most interesting phrases seen on MN and I thought it was both nasty and hilarious at the same time! Perhaps if it was just cunt, it wouldn't be so funny. Haven't been able to get it off my mind and I wake up in the middle of the night laughing about it.

Used it today on a post though (because I thought it was deserved) and cracked myself up but it got reported and deleted so reckon it's not as funny as I think it isGrin (PPs on the other post thought it was, though).

I don't like slut but most swear words don't mean anything like fuck, so dont bother me.

rosegoldivy · 15/10/2019 21:22

Where I'm from it's not unusual to refer to someone in the context like "do you know Tom" ....... . "aye Tom's a good cunt"

😂😂😂😂

Personally I hate the word slapper. Don't know why but it grates on me.

Cunt. Can't say it and found it difficult to even type, it's so bad. It's probably because I'm old.

bellinisurge · 15/10/2019 21:24

Belgium.
But only if you are a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fan Grin

Ellisandra · 15/10/2019 21:26

@QueefLatifah I heard a man hiss bloodclaat at someone on the bus recently. He was high, and aggressive, and it was probably the nastiness most venomous sounding bit of swearing I’ve ever heard.

Hushabyelullaby · 15/10/2019 21:26

Cunt is the worst imo, every other swear word pales in comparison....it's a word I really dislike!

Teensruletheroost · 15/10/2019 21:28

Cunt is the worst word in my opinion and I have never used it except when repeating what someone else said.

I am not a prude and use fuck quite a lot but the c word is just going too far.

QueefLatifah · 15/10/2019 21:28

@Ellisandra really?! I’ve never even heard of it. Does it mean blood clot?!

Mummoomoocow · 15/10/2019 21:28

Gash

BillyAndTheSillies · 15/10/2019 21:29

Cunt or motherfucker for me. I use cunt a lot but will often pause before saying motherfucker or motherfucking.

@QueefLatifah bloodclaat, rasclart and bumbaclart very commonly used by my Jamaican Dad and heard a lot where I live in East London. Bloodclart is one of the most offensive words you can use in my house.

Accountant222 · 15/10/2019 21:29

Cunt is up there, but sometimes it's the correct descriptive word to use.

mainecoonmum · 15/10/2019 21:30

Cunt and twat: I have a real potty mouth but those two I never ever use

Temeraire · 15/10/2019 21:30

Fitbin (one for Viz fans).

I do think you’re extremely odd OP in classing all swear words from Bloody and Sodding up to Cunt as equally unacceptable. The first two are frequently used on Great British Bake Off. The latter very much isn’t.

granof3 · 15/10/2019 21:30

I do say fuck all day every day but never cunt.

BillyAndTheSillies · 15/10/2019 21:31

It's the equivalent of calling someone a sanitary towel. A blood cloth.

Prunekeith · 15/10/2019 21:31

Twatspangle. Utterly useless as a swear word and hence the worst IMHO. Suitable only for comedic purposes Grin

Mummoomoocow · 15/10/2019 21:31

@QueefLatifah it means used tampon

raspberryk · 15/10/2019 21:32

The racist terms of abuse mentioned are swear words though are they? They are disgusting though and I am a potty mouth to the core but they will never pass my lips.

raspberryk · 15/10/2019 21:32

Aren't*

rosegoldivy · 15/10/2019 21:33

Mudblood.

kayakingmum · 15/10/2019 21:34

As a Christian I hate hearing people say God, Jesus and damn, even though I know these words are only meant to be very mildly offensive, if at all. I think it's a sign that there are fewer Christians in society that people like to use these terms and equally don't consider them to be offensive.
If I had to pick the worst word/phase it would be 'oh my God'. I can't explain why. Maybe because it's the way people day it. Not sure.

Wankbadger? Cockcheese?
