I really want to start taking photos again with them ... but can you even get them developed anymore?

Ha ha ha! Large ego?! Ok darling.

ChardonnaysDistantCousin · 06/09/2019 11:12

You really aren’t witty or trendsetting OP.
Just a bit too try hard.

JacquesHammer · 06/09/2019 11:14

you are an exceptionally odd creature with a very large ego

Says the person who drops in how many “likes” her photos get....

I work in social media. It’s a tired “trend” (it never really was one to be fair”) that holds no real interest for anyone.

MyLucifrr · 06/09/2019 11:17

Trendsetting? Even a non-witty idiot such as myself knows that by saying I’m loving or following a trend ... means that I’m following a trendsetter?

Confused

And I still don’t understand why you won’t buy an old Leica or something if you like film and old photos feel so much.

tillytrotter1 · 06/09/2019 11:18

Horrible quality, fixed focus etc., you'll get better photos on your phone!

MyLucifrr · 06/09/2019 11:18

Yup. To wind up people that are easy to take bait. Chomp chomp little fishie.

Maybe you need to rethink your job as you clearly don’t know trends very well.

Well I didn’t really look into anything that far tbh. I haven’t bought anything and now I have the HUJI app I really like that.

Good idea though, there is a charity shop that sells cameras close by to me.

It’s ok, I’m used to coming across such thickery on social media. Fortunately for my clients I know what actually works instead of “ooooo pwetties” with no substance or interest behind.

AloeVeraLynn · 06/09/2019 11:24

Oh God are you about 19? You sound like an angsty teen. Very draining. You're much too cool for mumsnet.

I feel bad for your clients.

And I suppose everyone saying “more plastic blah blah blah” is vegan, has no children, don’t drive or fly ever?!

JacquesHammer · 06/09/2019 11:28

I shouldn’t. I earn them a shit load a reasonable rate and command enough per hour to not need to work full time. Because I’m not thick. Try it

JacquesHammer · 06/09/2019 11:29

You’re like the people who send me CVs begging for a job because they “know social media”.

If nothing else it amuses me.

MyLucifrr · 06/09/2019 11:29

Or use toilet paper? Seeing as it’s a single paper use.

I love my job. I earn very well thanks.

I also would never look down on anyone begging for a job because I found it amusing. What an awful outlook on life.

Sure with comprehension being such a strong point of yours, that's totally believable.

Goodgirlsgotohell · 06/09/2019 13:50

Is there any need to be so nasty?

Snidpan · 06/09/2019 14:00

I went to a wedding last year, just after the meal, when everyone had reached peak tipsy, every table was given a disposable. Some shocking photos were taken (under the table, in the loo's, etc), then cameras handed in, to be developed on the day of the first wedding anniversary. The suspense was killing us. Poor quality wasn't important, as there was a professional photographer for the good pics. The 'fire and forget' element of the disposables, could not be recreated with phone cameras.

Another person who thinks that because there’s already some things harming the environment it doesn’t matter if we start chucking more on the pile.

No one’s saying the OP has to go off and live a nomadic, zero waste, exreme vegan lifestyle. We’re just saying: “hey, how about not buying more plastic shit when there’s this app/filter alternative?”

ChardonnaysDistantCousin · 06/09/2019 15:46

Photos from under the table? And on the loo?

Sounds a bit like upskirting? Surely not?

demelza82 · 06/09/2019 16:48

Yeah great, even more single use plastic crap. Fabulous

Namechangeforthiscancershit · 06/09/2019 16:54

Polaroids I knew about (a good few years ago now) but my pictures on disposable cameras always looked awful so I am not delighted by this!

WobblyLondoner · 06/09/2019 16:58

Yes YABU. Buy a proper camera or take a photo on your phone. HTH.

zxcvhjkl · 06/09/2019 17:05

I'm not vegan, I fly, drive a car and (shock horror) I also have children and use loo roll. Stone me now.

An eco-minded attitude doesn't automatically make someone an out and out eco warrior.

@LittleLongDog hit the nail on the head.
