I really want to start taking photos again with them ... but can you even get them developed anymore?

@MyLucifrr yup vegan here. What a strange thread this is.

Can you honestly say if 2 photos were next to each other that you could identify which was taken on a phone and which was with a disposable camera? I wouldn't have a clue.

WindsweptEgret · 06/09/2019 19:20

"@MyLucifrr" WTF? You think it's okay to mess with our/our children's future, (and yeah I only had one)? Is any trend worth it? You know this environmental stuff is actually serious right?

Goodgirlsgotohell · 06/09/2019 19:28

Oh Lordy, have we really reached the “will someone think of the children” stage Hmm

Goodgirlsgotohell · 06/09/2019 19:30

Here you go my darlings. Now you can focus on bigger environmental issues

I like the idea of disposable cameras and yes they might be ideal for children on a trip.

However, you only get about 30 snaps, the light has to be decent and it’s costly to get them developed. And half will be a bit rubbish. Boots will develop for you

We all have to make compromises with regards to the environment and sometimes circumstances necessitate that we can’t choose the greenest option. That doesn’t mean it’s ok to be wilfully wasteful though. It’s just contemptuous to use disposal cameras when you’ve already got a perfectly good alternative that won’t cause massive pollution. As someone who remembers the 80s and 90s I guarantee your pictures will look like a load of old shit anyway. Picking up your pictures from the chemist was always a disappointing experience. Your great pictures invariably turned out to be poorly framed blurry nonsense.

#tooblessedtobestressed

...

Are you 12??

gamerwidow · 06/09/2019 20:23

Even leaving aside the environmental issues this whole trend just goes to show people will pay for any old shit if you tell them it’s ‘on trend’. Seriously you are arguing for your right to part with your hard earned cash to buy a substandard camera that will take substandard pictures. You’re an advertisers wet dream. Who benefits out of this, not you that’s for sure

@MyLucifrr not trying to be big bollocks at all. I have to work with influencers etc on social media for my job, just outlining what our trend research and analysis currently shows.
Maybe disposable will pop up on our next one, but so far the amount of people posting about it hasn't been high enough volume to reach 'trend' term on these reports.
My post wasn't nasty, it answered your question and just gave an opinion so I'm not quite sure why you decided to respond in the manner you did.

You seem to feel superior towards everyone else on this thread due to this 'trend' info, not sure why. Enjoy your disposable camera and pictures.
