Help !!

Currently on holiday with DP, 2 step daughters age 6&7 and our 15 month old. We only arrived yesterday afternoon and when the kids settled down DP went for a walk around (this is normal we do it every holiday)

This was about 11:45pm and it's now half 4 in the morning! His phone was dead before he left and I've been cat napping hoping I am hearing him in the corridor of the hotel but nothing!

The kids will be awake in a few hours and he would never / has never done this before! I'm so worried and want to ring the police.

Help? I'm thinking the worst and getting myself in a state of how I'm gonna tell the girls I don't know where Daddy is 😭

Oh gosh how scary. I hope he's just lost track of time in a bar and is back soon. Not that it's okay that he's worrying you like this, but I bet that's what's happened. Reception should be able to give you an additional key too.

Pretty good chance he is fine but hope you find out soon where he has got to.

Another hoping he's back and with a good non-scary reason for being out for so long.

Any sign of him OP? I had this with my ex. He rolled in at seven having been arm wrestling Germans all night for drinks and food!

IV been to that resort a few times, it's very safe but I did get lost out a walk once and it took me about an extra hour and a half to get back

hugely doubt the OP's DP has severe amnesia, any more than people try to wipe their elbow after going to the toilet

I think I must speak a different form of English then, I have never heard anyone say someone wouldn't know their name or wipe their elbow - what on earth does that even mean? Confused

@coconuttelegraph think that the phrase being referred to is not knowing your arse from your elbow.

It was indeed, as I quoted in my post.

Only knowing your name because others use it is a common-ish way of saying someone's a bit dippy. Well it is round here anyway.

I hope he’s ok. I’m going to assume he’s safely back at the hotel because the OP hasn’t posted back. I hope that is the case! (And no more walks at midnight!).

He sounds a bit of an arse to be honest OP. I can't imagine a situation where arriving near midnight with three kids would be a good time for a solo stroll

And minus a working phone. Confused

Hi everyone, he had fallen not long after leaving and twisted his ankle and some passerby's took him to the hospital so he's got a boot on now for the rest of the holiday! The hospital wouldn't let him leave until morning as they gave him some strong painkillers

Thankfully home safe and sound. Thanks everyone x

Glad to hear he's back safe(ish!). Enjoy your holiday - and laughing at his tan-lines when he gets back too!

NoSauce · 23/08/2019 09:28

And he didn’t think to use someone else’s phone to let you know or ring the hotel?
Pissed up then? I’d be so mad at him, he’s going to sit on a lounger all holiday while you run around after the kids I bet.
