Currently on holiday with DP, 2 step daughters age 6&7 and our 15 month old. We only arrived yesterday afternoon and when the kids settled down DP went for a walk around (this is normal we do it every holiday)

This was about 11:45pm and it's now half 4 in the morning! His phone was dead before he left and I've been cat napping hoping I am hearing him in the corridor of the hotel but nothing!

The kids will be awake in a few hours and he would never / has never done this before! I'm so worried and want to ring the police.

Help? I'm thinking the worst and getting myself in a state of how I'm gonna tell the girls I don't know where Daddy is 😭

Thinking of you OP. Hope it's just a mix up and perhaps the hotel door is locked !hence reception ringing out).

Just keep trying reception until you can get through and tackle it all then - if you don't have a key, you cant leave the room and risk not getting back in

Do you have a balcony? Can you see anything from it in terms of whether any staff etc are around or the resort looks to still be lively?

MaybeitsMaybelline · 23/08/2019 06:45

I bet he went for a walk, met people then couldn’t remember his way back. He won’t freeze, he will have slept on a sun bed and will find his way home this morning when people start waking up and he can charge his phone or ask his was back.

thaegumathteth · 23/08/2019 06:48

Hope he’s back

Morgan12 · 23/08/2019 06:55

Is he back now?
If not then I'd wake the kids and see what reception suggest.

Bars would have closed a while ago.

PurpleDaisies · 23/08/2019 06:57

If he isn’t back, I’d be contacting the police.

Danni91 · 23/08/2019 06:59

How strange I hope he returns really soon

I panic if my partner is late home from work without warning, let alone gone overnight in a different country ! Horrendous

cocomelon23 · 23/08/2019 07:00

I'm assuming he's back and op has gone to sleep

MrsMc2019 · 23/08/2019 07:01

I hope he's back now xx

AmIThough · 23/08/2019 07:04

I hope he's back with his tail between his legs Thanks

Bobbiepin · 23/08/2019 07:04

Are you ok OP?

coconuttelegraph · 23/08/2019 07:05

Why is it "normal" to go out for a walk at 11.45pm leaving your partner and three kids in a hotel room

I hope he's back now but I have to agree, that's an odd thing to do, why doesn't he know his name,? Is he really in a fit state to go out alone in a strange place, why would be be traumatized by the dc waking up when he's not there? That's not a usual reaction imo, is there something else happening here?

oatmilk4breakfast · 23/08/2019 07:13

Hope you’re ok. My husband ended up in hospital after blacking out on pavement on way back from night out. Not too drunk. Never found out why. Hope yours is back now. X

LionKingLover · 23/08/2019 07:17

Hope he's back now Op x

DartmoorDoughnut · 23/08/2019 07:21

Hope he’s back

Llioed · 23/08/2019 07:22

OP, are you and the children ok?

DanielRicciardosSmile · 23/08/2019 07:23

why doesn't he know his name,?

That's just a phrase, like not knowing your arse from your elbow. I hugely doubt the OP's DP has severe amnesia, any more than people try to wipe their elbow after going to the toilet. Hmm

OP, I'm hoping he's back now.

Teabay · 23/08/2019 07:25

Are you at breakfast now? Take the children down like a pp said and start to make enquiries at the desk.
Are you on holiday with a company? Tell the rep?

jaggynettle · 23/08/2019 07:28

Hope he's back soon - no advice other than what Pps have said. You must be climbing the walls Thanks

tempester28 · 23/08/2019 07:29

Can you put the door on the latch so you don't get locked out and nip down to reception?

Lipz · 23/08/2019 07:30

Hope he came back ok. Very worrying for you. He prob thought you'd fall asleep and stayed in bar.

Splenny · 23/08/2019 07:35

What an odd thing to do, couldn’t he wait until morning for you all to go and explore your surroundings?

I hope he’s back now.

JustLikeJasper · 23/08/2019 07:40

Hope he is back now and you are getting some rest and man child is taking the kids to breakfast!!

MemorylikeDory · 23/08/2019 07:41

Thinking of you OP. Hopefully DP is back and you're getting some much needed sleep.

Fcukthisshit · 23/08/2019 07:50

Any sign yet op? Hope he’s back!

MummyLikesCrisps · 23/08/2019 07:52
