QuaterMiss · 02/08/2019 18:17

Would I be unreasonable to initiate legal proceedings against this man?

Previous thread here:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/3624032-Not-to-have-realised-until-now-that-Joey-Maynard-s-displaced-organ-was-a-prolapse?

With thanks to Jemima232 for rifling through Sir James’ archives to supply the title of this one.

@Papergirl1968
^will look
Into how I might acquire India.^
I think it involves an army, a flag, and the usual Empire-building paraphernalia... Wink

QuaterMiss · 09/08/2019 12:46

CS Wins The Trick zips along nicely! Rather neat combination of school and not school, adults and children, work and play.

I vaguely knew about the India book - but I’m horribly reluctant to wander off the regular track. Might get lost and never find my way back.

Can anyone remember which book the Middles “adopt “ Biddy O’Ryan?

PhilSwagielka · 09/08/2019 14:03

Parker231, it was Jo of the Chalet School.

MollyButton · 09/08/2019 14:28

Is some of the story of Jo and the Unsuitable Doctor referred to in one of the Reunion stories? Maybe Oberland, but equally possibly one of the later ones.

Parker231 · 09/08/2019 15:10

@PhilSwagielka - thank you. Next one to read. Just finished Two Sams - really boring!

Catinabeanbag · 09/08/2019 15:54

Je pense que vendredi est le jour pour francais, mais.....
My french is not good enough to continue. I did ask (with a curtsy) on previous thread, but if I could have the dropbox details that would be spiffing, and I’d donate my jam to all and sundry.
Merci beaucoup

Catinabeanbag · 09/08/2019 15:57

Ach.... am sending myself to matey for a scolding and the afternoon in bed.
Parker- thanks for the message; apologies, I didn’t see it until now.....

Papergirl1968 · 09/08/2019 16:22

Lol, Marie, I fear India the continent would be bad for my delicate health. The doctors at the great sanitarium all advise I must live in the mountains if I am to avoid the White Man’s Plague.
Therefore I will content myself with the book, if it can be found. If not, school has taught me I must not fret about things that cannot be fixed. Smile
Parker, I’m halfway through Two Sams.

Howyoualldoworkme · 09/08/2019 16:35

I'm reading Jo of the Chalet School at the moment and I'm absolutely sick of the bloody Robin!

Parker231 · 09/08/2019 17:18

@Yugi - you are amazing! She has sent to the Dropbox account, 57 books, numbered with the correct title and in Kindle format. I can send these to the 95 readers who have contacted me for the books?.........

BendingSpoons · 09/08/2019 17:33

I'm rather late to the party (I will pay my fine). Papergirl sent me the OneDrive link on the last thread before it went kaput. If it is possible to have the Dropbox I would love it, but understand its a mammoth task if you have 95 already! Sounds like you are doing a great job!

LBOCS2 · 09/08/2019 17:46

I would love that please @Parker231, if it's not too much trouble? Shall I pm you my kindle email address?

Howyoualldoworkme · 09/08/2019 17:48

Ooh is Prefects there?
What a golloptious thing to do! Grin

LBOCS2 · 09/08/2019 17:48

Also, info here (before we run into any trouble and it becomes too complicated)

Sir James Talbot tackles Mrs. Jack Maynard's Displaced Organ
Parker231 · 09/08/2019 18:06

I’ve now sent the Kindle version to all the email addresses I have.

QuaterMiss · 09/08/2019 18:34

Oh, another Prefects hunter, Howyoualldoworkme?! I have just looked at the kindle-ready list but it seems to stop at Althea. (I know. Foiled again! The quest continues ...)

But thank you so much, Parker - it’s lovely to have them in this format.

Lonelykettleshed · 09/08/2019 18:42

I have Prefects on my laptop. I will send through tomorrow when I am properly online. Not sure if it's the Armada version or nor (or how heavily cut the Armada was).

You can all read the awful proposal scene...

Bloatstoat · 09/08/2019 18:45

@Parker231 Thank you so much, you're a true gentleman! (Just finished Tom Tackles The Chalet School Grin)

desperatelyseekingcaffeine · 09/08/2019 18:49

Wow, all books Kindle ready is amazing thank you! I started reading the Joey and Patricia one as I'd just read Exile. However, my memory must be awful as I had no idea who Patricia was so gave up Blush Anyone help me out?!

SirJamesTalbot · 09/08/2019 19:27

@parker231, thank you so much for organising the dropbox link.

QuaterMiss · 09/08/2019 19:32

Should also thank @Yugi for providing these ebooks ... Flowers

Parker231 · 09/08/2019 19:46

Thank you @Yugi - the Kindle version is brilliant!

Yugi · 09/08/2019 19:59

Hi all, glad you are enjoying. I sorted and converted for myself and then decided to share the joy 😂

There are no extra books there, I just took the ones from the Dropbox and organised
