To ask what nicknames you give your pets?

But, I believe we all have nicknames / terms of endearment / joke names for our pets.

I want to hear yours and if there's a story behind it, even better.

I've two dogs Beabea and Murphy. The collective noun for my babies is 'The Stenches', to the point that I ask my DDad to Stench Sit and my mates call them The Stenches too.

Beabea has a few nicknames, all totally said in a loving way, I promise! She's a bit cuddly, very fiesty, raucous, cheeky and fun, so her names are Madam, Lard Arse, Beabea Boo Bum, Boo Bum, Boo, Bitch Face, Bitch Features, Big Girl, Daddy's Princess and My Princess.

Murphy is very timid and clingy, (Beabea wears the trousers) and he's happiest if being stroked, cuddled, or spoken to, he doesn't like rough and tumble play. He's called, Dopey Bollocks, Gimp Features, Gimp, Captain Gimpy, Gimpy Pants, Knobhead, My Shadow, Twat Dog, Big Boy, Mummy's Prince and My Prince.

I'll shut up now and await responses that make us feel less weird. 👀😁

Shit bag is a favourite for my lovely pooch. It's normally 'oh you little shitbag' when she pinches food out of your hand

My previous cat was named Rubsy (Rubsy dubsy chubsy lubsy wubsy or Rubber dubber doo).
My present cat is Ellie (nellie nellie noo noo. Ellie nor nor nor and Ellabub 🙂)

My cat is called Abby, I call her BB or bumblebee 🐝 😊

Real name Lily. Also goes by Silly, Lillybug, Lil, Fuzzybutt and Shithead.

My cats nickname is moomoos, because of markings like a cow.

Cat 1, is Mr Simba Wimba, Wimba Wimba Woo Woo and you-little-ginger-arsed-freak when he annoys me.

Cat 2 is Big Cat, biggus Cattus, Mr Chub Chub, Fattus Cattus and you fat mess.

Apparently body shaming him is a bad thing, even when I am laughing at his belly swinging from side on the very odd occasion when he runs.

Love these.

Please also tell me that when you meet a dog and / or cat in public that you speak to them in silly kitty / doggy voice.

It's usually high-pitched, a bit singy-songy, sometimes squeaky.

My cat is puss cat, or pud, Missy, On the other hand dh is called shitbag often to his face

Barkley here. Sometimes Sparkley Babba. Ganouch. Sometimes Babba Ganouch. 🙂

My cat gets Squish. My horses Orange (sometimes with a French accent) and Moose. My dog Monkey. None of those is even remotely close to their actual name but they all get called it way more than their name.

Chipple dipple, real name is chip. No idea where the nickname came from. Other cat nicknamed tubby as she used to be an absolute tank (she’s lost the weight now but the name has stuck)

Dog called Jenny but is often called numpty by husband or sometimes arsehole if she's being extra naughty but cute. Like when he comes home from and try's to go for a poo and she keeps trying to open the door. You can hear dh affectionately saying "go downstairs arsehole".

That type of stuff.

Eddie is called Edvark, Varky, Izzy is Pisal, Izzy Whizzy Woo

My tiny babies (7 weeks now) are called Hallow and Hex, but ds2 insists they are called Barry and Keith so I've agreed to those as middle names

I call them the fluffballs, fluffbags, fluffets, raggamuffins, little sprats, pygmy puffs, moppets, fluffaluffacus...

As a collective, the dogs are "the girls". Individually, nicknames include Pudding, Sausage, Googie, Googster, Googs, Butterbean, Jellybean, Petal, Poppet, FooFoo, Cupcake, The Old Dears (for the elderly two), Barker, and so on. Princess Phoebe Kitten only really has a combination of that except for 6P as a kitten which stood for Practically Perfect Precious Pretty Princess Phoebe.

My old dogs were Queenie [Sheba] and Sir Poopalot.

Some of the nicknames are interchangeable: Peskimo (because they're pesky Eskies), Muffin-Top, Pooglebug, Hooglebug, Fluff-a-Puff, Huggle-Pants, Stinkler, Pee-Pot, Brat-Butt, Hugglesworth, Squigglesworth, Snuggler, etc.

Others are variations of their names. Trixie is Triscuit, Trixit, Triskima, etc. Luna is Luna-Balloona, Lula, Hula-Baloola, Lulu, etc. Frodo is Frodie, Frodamo, Froodles, etc.

Potato and pig girl

Three cats, pepper, Elsa and Ziggy. Nicknames are peppers - poots, baba, madam, queeny and cow bag as she has the cutest feet, was our first and has attitude. Elsa - beans, piglet, marshmallow and chonk, as she has the cutest toe beans, is a food hog, is white and squishy and chunky. Ziggy - prince, tart, baba man, Lil man, stink bug and skit boy, as he is a mama's boy, loves fleece blankets a bit too much, has the stinkiest poops and is scared of his own shadow 😂
