Aibu to feel so fat

Evening all

Not sure if aibu or not

After a week of heavy eating, i am feeling crap this evening. Mother of 2, 5ft 4, weighed today at 8st11 and just measured waist at 25inches. I haven't done any exercise since before my eldest was born, who is over 3 now.

Need some motivation to get my ass in gear and tips on how you all who keep slim do it

Yabu

YANBU to feel how you feel, feelings aren't objective facts.

If your BMI is healthy you're fine. However, if you do want to get into exercise it's s great idea, it's good for your physical and mental health.

Eminybob thanks for the response!

TheBitchOfTheVicar · 09/06/2019 21:11

Well, YANBU for feeling bloated after eating too much. And YANBU for feeling rubbish at putting weight on, whatever your starting weight was.

But surely you know that YABVU for saying you are not 'slim', with those stats!

user1471514421 · 09/06/2019 21:11

Morgan12 I am glad this has sparked some laughter for you!!

I'm 5'3 and 8st6lb so about the same as you. I have some wobbly bits but as a size 8 I know I'm not fat.

TheNewSchmoo · 09/06/2019 21:12

Stealth boast

Quintella · 09/06/2019 21:12

Sounds like you're pretty slim but if you're not happy with what you see in the mirror you're not happy! The key is to find a form of exercise you enjoy and you'll stick with, whether that's yoga or roller derby or something in between.

formerbabe · 09/06/2019 21:12

How awful for you Hmm

Freyasmum1 · 09/06/2019 21:12

I'm soooo much heavier than that and not quite as tall. I think my wrists are 25 inches.

I’m 5ft4 and weigh 9 stone 2 and feel pretty slim, I do quite a lot of exercise though

Eminybob · 09/06/2019 21:13

Stealth boast

Yep

freshstartnewme · 09/06/2019 21:13

Yes YABU

Whatsforu · 09/06/2019 21:15

Well I have to say I am your height and I was that weight a long time ago and I was easy a size 8. I am now much heavier and definitely feel too fat but how you can feel fat at that weight I'll never knowHmm

user1471514421 · 09/06/2019 21:15

presumedinnocence what kind of exercise and how do you fit it in? I work full time and any other time is spent with dc

Chocolate35 · 09/06/2019 21:16

Really? I had to double take when I read that. You are under 9 stone and have two children. You’re obviously very slim. I’m shorter and wider and don’t consider myself fat.
YANBU to FEEL fat though. Feelings are never right or wrong. I’d suggest seeking help though because that is very small to be feeling fat.

Can you fit a swim or cycle in at the weekend maybe ?

parrotonthesofa · 09/06/2019 21:20

Yes stealth boast. Ffs.

BlueCornishPixie · 09/06/2019 21:22

It's not even a stealth boast, this is just a boast.

You know your not fat OP. You could have just said you felt fat, you know those stats make you slim so why add them?

user1471514421 · 09/06/2019 21:22

Not a stealth boast. This is genuinely how I'm feeling this eve. I apologise if it has come across as disingenuous
