Yes, I'm talking about you, deadpersonalhouseelf. I haven't even bought the book yet an already I know (partly) what happens.

Speccy, for the last time DS HAS SCARLET FEVER. GETTING HOLD OF HP HAD TO GO DOWN THE PRIORITY LIST.

Fucking HELL - someone has a sick child and a book has to take precedence?!

Christ, he's a boy with a scar and a wand, you're all mental.

LoonyLyraLovegood · 23/07/2007 21:13

So if I'd ordered it on Amazon on Saturady, I'd have read it by now would I? {hmm]

LoonyLyraLovegood · 23/07/2007 21:13

Thank you Hunker.

mumofSlytherinsmonsters · 23/07/2007 21:14

you would have some of it under your belt yes.

and Hunker (is that you?) she has time to be online so she has time to read

NotReallyHereHunker · 23/07/2007 21:15

S'OK, DS1's had tonsillitis this weekend and been really ill with it - I'd be swinging for anyone who told me I had to read a nearly-700-page book about a wizard.

Hope your DS is better soon - scarlet fever can't be much fun

FlameDelacour · 23/07/2007 21:15

lmao - read Hunker's post and thought she meant that Lyra's son had a scar

NotReallyHereHunker · 23/07/2007 21:16

Some people prefer to settle down to read a book when they're not going to be interrupted by sick child though.

I know I do.

But why am I even on this thread?!

I think you're all mad and Hermione runs off with Snape. Or something.

LoonyLyraLovegood · 23/07/2007 21:17

He's ok, but not really up to going out shopping.
Now I could leave him home alone in bed while I go and buy the book if that's what you're all suggesting? Or I could get DP to come home early from his work trip to buy it for me

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 23/07/2007 21:17

Hunker no-one is saying that she should have read the book by now

but I think it's reasonable to assume that anyone who gives that much of a shit, will have done

You could just get the jist of it by looking at spoiler nicknames. Save time.

LoonyLyraLovegood · 23/07/2007 21:19

Speccy, have you even read this thread or are you just a bit dim? Who's complaining about 'an internet forum discussing it'?

GringottsGoblinsGoGobbling · 23/07/2007 21:20

I read HP& the P's Stone when DS1 was a baby by reading it out loud to him

NotReallyHereHunker · 23/07/2007 21:26

I do think putting spoilers in your nickname ought to be punishable by death though.

Not just for HP - in general. It's a mean thing to do.

LoonyLyraLovegood · 23/07/2007 21:26

Hey, I've started my first MN row. [proud]
