Mumsnet almost unusable this morning?

I doubt this will even post given all the issues this morning.

Has anyone else been getting a white screen and pages not loading?

It's making the site almost unusable, where as all other websites i'm on seem to be working as normal.

And what the hell is site optimisation?

It's a fancy way of say we're trying to make the site work reliably for the volume of usage it gets. Eg increase capacity on the servers, additional bandwidth, improve availability etc etc.

No way of knowing what the technical people are actually doing because there are a whole combination of different things, and people don't actually care, they just want it to work!

I know we've had the weekend, but regular updates would be very much appreciated. Especially if this is going to be an ongoing issue for the foreseeable future.
