To ask for help in finding out why my bathroom smells like weed??

Every morning for about 3 weeks now I've woken up and our en suite bathroom stinks of unsmoked weed. Neither me or my husband smoke it, we are detached far away from neighbours and I've tried everything to get rid of it. It's the only bathroom in the house that smells.

I've tried:
-thought it might be the bath mat so I washed it and all the towels on a 90 C wash
-possibly my wee - we have a 3 month old and it's only me and him in the bedroom at the moment so overnight I don't flush the toilet. Tried using a different bathroom overnight and it made no difference
-cleaned it from top to bottom - we do have a slow running shower drain that needs some unblocker shoved down it but haven't got around to it yet.

• we have horrible scented toilet paper at the moment but it isn't that.

I'm at a loss! And it's driving us mad. It's only in the morning that it smells.

Anyone got any genius ideas?! I'll be forever grateful if someone can help me sort this out!

We had exactly the same problem in our bathroom. Was convinced the house behind us was smoking weed, almost went round and asked them to stop 😲😂 Turned out it was a patch of damp where radiator had leaked.

You might want to be in the room for when he opens up the extractor fan to move his stash does some work.

We have some toilet gel that smells just like weed! It's in a black bottle with a red lid, maybe Harpic. Do you gel the loo each night before bed?!

We had this and it was a new shower/bath mat I'd bought to stop us slipping in the shower. I had to throw it out.

I doubt it’s this for your bathroom but I third the other posters who said that empty beer bottles stink of weed!

I bought a couple of Coleus Canin (Scaredy Cat plants) . Its a popular garden plant to repell cats, dogs, foxes and other animals. I gave some of the plants to my naighbors, now my bathroom (mormaly window open and door closed) smells like a combination of weed and racoon. But outside, in front and near the bathroom window, I never smell anything. For ome reason the stink of the plant accumulates inside the bathroom.

Omg thank you for writing this we bought new non slip mat for the bath yesterday and last night & today the room stank! So I googled and see this we smelt mat and yep absolutely wreaked !!!!!!! Taken it out now gave bath good bleach .. all good now 🤞🏼
