Classic victim blaming with the ‘mind not diseased’ tweet

I just don’t get this at all. So from memory he is a Millwall fan, a football club who had a terrible reputation for racism. How could he not realise it would cause offence? He is an intelligent, socially aware man.

He was wrong to post it as there were clearly racist connotations that were visible from space.

However his bosses should make him present some of his programme about it. Get people to call in and discuss it, make something positive out of it.

The more we keep firing such people out of a cannon, the less I feel we actually learn anything from it all. Yes the “right” thing is done, many people feel satisfied at a sense of natural justice, but a good deal more become resentful and start to martyr people like this

l saw that. Not the original tweet, he'd deleted it, but obviously people take screenshots and someone reposted it. lt was disgusting. And when l was looking on his timeline, he was making jokes about it, and people were supporting him.
He deserves to be sacked for that. Other people have been, for less.

Roseanne Barr was hauled over the coals for similar..it was literally front page news for days in the USA. Her show canned and everyone lost their jobs. I actually think baker's is worse.
