To think Radio 5 host Danny Baker cannot stay at the BBC?

In my head Meghan is a woman that's married to a prince and has head a baby - that's as much thought as I've given her, I didn't instantly see it and think about her being mixed race because it's not something I've taken much notice of

His apology isn't good enough. If he made a mistake he should be mortified and his apology doesn't quite cut it.

it's all part of "no I wasn't being racist to you" and they go away sniggering that they got away with it. He should lose his job and no one should employ him again.

I am shocked by his stupidity tbh. This man had to actually search for this photo.
This is a seasoned broadcaster with many years experience. Furthermore, he is a football pundit who fully understands the monkey connotations given the problem with racism in football.
However, what really annoyed me was his so called ‘apology ‘. He accused people who saw this tweet as racist as having a ‘diseased mind’
He then also said that it was his ‘turn’ to face the barrage, which I took to mean the PC lobby attacking those in the public eye.

Even if and it’s a big if he was alluding to the royals being circus animals you would think that someone who’s supposedly an intelligent man would think how that photo would be perceived given the amount of racist hatred that is thrown Meghans way.

Lets face it, a lot of people are very upset that a Royal Prince didn't choose to marry someone like his ex's. She is different and people can't handle this fact, regardless if they ' like her' or not ( even though they probably havent met her etc)

  • He didnt tweet this picture ( or anything similar) when Kate and Prince William have appeared with their three children after they were born and it was the same thing there ' lets have a gawp at people we don't know, have never met and why are we really interested?' so why is it ' okay' to do this now? ( its not okay , of course its not, but a few people might think it is a ' bit of a joke ' etc)
hmm, I am worried about what his intentions really were. I am a bit shocked really. I would think that someone like him would have a bit more common sense!

Bloody hell. I suppose , at a stretch, you could argue that if someone was genuinely not racist and didn't have a racist thought in their mind, they might just think that photo represented "media circus". But someone of his experience, who is media savvy and a football commentator to boot? All I can think of is that he either actually is racist, or he had some sort of brain melt (and that's being kind). Posting that picture is unforgivable.
