To think the UK media silence on the Prince William rumours is odd

Just that really. No idea if there's anything more than rumour and speculation, but it's all over social media that Prince William allegedly had an affair with one of Kate's friends, but there is a total media silence on it.
Pretty bizarre considering that Meghan Markle barely has to breathe and the media are covering it.

*hey didn’t say their full names which legally I thought you had to?

Think it has to be written on the records, but not necessarily said out loud.*

Their ful names were said at the beginning of the marriage service.

I don't see what's so wrong with the Royals taking out injunctions though. They exist for a reason.

Yes, and they're pretty much used when there's truth to the story.

NoYo · 25/04/2019 19:10

My DF always said that the Royals / aristocracy see morals as something for the little people. Let's face it, they're probably all at it.

mrscampbellblackagain · 25/04/2019 19:11

Hmm, just looking at Instagram and I reckon the affair is between Harry and Kate!

NoYo · 25/04/2019 19:11

bethy15

Agree.

MadCatEnthusiast · 25/04/2019 19:12

I don't know why people are surprised like this doesn't happen in the royal family. Heirs to the thrones/Kings have been famous for being players, unfaithful and having illegitimate children.

A 2 year affair with King Edward VII and Churchill's mum ring a bell?

The RF can silence the media. Didn't they also keep Princess Margaret's relationship with Townsend secret for a while?

Butterymuffin · 25/04/2019 19:17

If Rose's husband isn't into her, there must be plenty of men she could have a discreet aristocratic affair with. And she's already rich. So it would frankly be daft to do your dallying with someone who is always in the public eye.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 25/04/2019 19:23

George the VII is only 6 years old- give him time

^Duuuhhh* - I meant George VI of course; don't know how I got that extra digit in there Blush

Iamnotagoddess · 25/04/2019 19:25

Why do they have such boring names Sad

Another King George.

Raspberry88 · 25/04/2019 19:25

Butterymuffin

I'm sure I read somewhere that they have history. Maybe it's the real thing...Shock

StrayHairsEverywhere · 25/04/2019 19:28

Also, a popular daytime show has been missing one of its favourite presenters since Christmas. A small incident was revealed just after then

Which programme @Sarcelle?

Loopytiles · 25/04/2019 19:29

I once worked in a field with people in the public eye (not royals). The gossip at work was that two of them had had an affair. This wasn’t reported in the press, but there were a few apparently innocent tabloid articles with photos of them, separately, on the same page.

UK tabloids did this with a pic of William next to a pic of Kate and her friend and a report alleging a fall out.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 25/04/2019 19:29

I could be wrong, but thought that one went under the radar because everyone at the time thought he was "just a photographer", probably there to expose the shutter rather than the princess?

Mysterian · 25/04/2019 19:30

Has Kate run off with that moustached bloke from Bargain Hunt?

Iamnotagoddess · 25/04/2019 19:31

Townsend was an equerry - Snowdon was the photographer.

Dumdedumdedum · 25/04/2019 19:33

Townsend horsey officer of the guards or something, Tony Armstrong-Jones (Lord Snowdon) photographer.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 25/04/2019 19:33

You're right of course, goddess ... I should have read the post properly!!

TheCraicDealer · 25/04/2019 19:39

Didn’t Jeremy Clarkson have an injunction for a while? Then he did a piece in The Times admitting it and saying they were useless and a colossal waste of money. After that I always think anyone who gets one for gossipy shite has more money than sense, and something to hide.

Aragog · 25/04/2019 19:51

Their ful names were said at the beginning of the marriage service.

Will cover it then.

Centuries of tradition indicate that it is both your honour and duty to lend your spouse to the monarch.

Badtasteflump · 25/04/2019 19:55

Interesting article on the subject here

MrsWombat · 25/04/2019 20:00

Funny how all these wacky rumours are happing whilst Meghan is due any day. Makes me wonder if it's to get everyone looking in a different direction whilst she gives birth on the quiet.

Iamnotagoddess · 25/04/2019 20:14

The affair rumour has been around for months x

That section is weird, myrtle,.for sure. But the logic that Rose leaked it as revenge for being frozen out makes sense. More so than the notion of Meghan doing so, when she has enough things making her life difficult already.
