I've never had to start a second thread so no idea if I've done this right.
I couldn't resist the title.

Well that sounds like a good use of the money that could have been used as a house deposit Hmm

I guess that they will be living with mum for quite a while!

CallmeAngelina · 05/08/2019 13:29

They will have convinced themselves that the wedding was a howling success and that any family fall-out was not their fault but others', for being over-sensitive.

wictional · 05/08/2019 13:36

I suspect the B&G stayed in their room after the ceremony to yell & scream at each other over the fiasco. There would have been many mutterings they couldn't have avoided hearing & reality & their egos got into a great big car crash

This exactly. I kind of feel sorry for them. It all came crashing down didn’t it!

Knittedfairies · 05/08/2019 13:58

Your mum is a treasure OP!

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 05/08/2019 14:25

What're the bets the next thing will be a fancy pregnancy announcement/gender reveal??!!!!

ArgumentativeAardvaark · 05/08/2019 14:37

How sad to have behaved in such a way that the verdict on your wedding from your own Granny is “Well, I’m glad that’s over”. And “Man up and socialise”?! I’m staggered.

crosstalk · 05/08/2019 15:10

OP I'm glad you all survived the fall out of an epic wedding tale. Your DM sounds great. You must let us know how it all works out. I'd be worried that they're wrangling her mother out of a house.

CoraPirbright · 05/08/2019 16:49

What I don’t get is why, when it was the groom who was up for a big do & the bride wasn’t that keen, it was the bride who ended up with all the guests? Is he slowly ditching all his friends & family in favour of hers?

EdtheBear · 05/08/2019 18:33

My guess is Bride wanted all her family and actively discouraged him from inviting his. Possibly an element of controlling behaviourConfused.

I'm giving this marriage a year.

Weenurse · 06/08/2019 14:25

Great update

girlwithadragontattoo · 25/08/2019 08:51

siriusblackthemischieviouscat · 25/08/2019 08:58

@girlwithadragontattoo op updated a bit further up the thread.

myrtleWilson · 25/08/2019 09:00

@girlwithadragontattoo you've literally scrolled past it

beanaseireann · 16/10/2019 01:44

@jessicawessica
Any fallout from the wedding?
Are the "lovely" couple still together ?
Do they still expect Sunday lunch in your mothers ?

Singlebutmarried · 07/04/2021 09:06

Now this is defo an oldie so apologies for resurrecting it.

But did they make it to the first anniversary?
