Be honest - who can get a jar of Nutella & not eat most of it off a spoon? Just me?

As a teen we got individual tubs from the shop near school and ate them behind a book in class with the little spatula it came with!!

TopBitchoftheWitches · 06/02/2019 18:56

Can't stand the stuff.

LordNibbler · 06/02/2019 18:58

I remember those April....I had a serious addiction to them in my teenage years in the 80's. I'm not sure what's happened to Nutella, but I swear it's not half as nice as it used to be.

Crockof · 06/02/2019 19:01

Lordnibbler it's not, they changed the recipe so now it has less coco and more skimmed milk

BartonHollow · 06/02/2019 19:01

YANBU

LilQuim · 06/02/2019 19:02

@TopBitchoftheWitches I was seeing this guy who hated Nutella & marmite. I wanted to check if he was on a register!

ginghamstarfish · 06/02/2019 19:02

I've never tried it as looking at the ingredients was enough to put me off ... maybe have a look? (sugar and palm oil, with chocolate and nuts playing a very minor role!)

LilQuim · 06/02/2019 19:02

@Aprilshowersarecomingsoon ooooooh yes!!! But then they made those tubs with nasty breadsticks. The new bar things are nice.

OP posts:
starzig · 06/02/2019 19:04

More peanut butter than nutella.

LilQuim · 06/02/2019 19:04

@ginghamstarfish don't you dare ruin it for me!! 😂 I've seen those pics showing what it's made up of, but I try to put that out of my mind.

There’s no way an open jar (or closed one, actually) could sit in my house for anything more than a few hours without me getting at it with a spoon.

SheSnapsThenSheFarts · 06/02/2019 19:05

I started having Nutella and peanut butter on the same slice of toast. I had to go cold turkey on it.

LilQuim · 06/02/2019 19:05

@starzig peanut butter on apple slices!

Have you tried Funky Nut Company peanut butters?? funkynutco.com

OP posts:
Davros · 06/02/2019 19:06

I abhor it. No thanks

iklboo · 06/02/2019 19:06

I can't stand it. I hate hazelnuts. If I get any on me when I'm making a sandwich for DS I feel like I've got cat poo on my hands. I told DS I'd sooner have cat poo - at least I could lick that off Grin

LilQuim · 06/02/2019 19:06

@Kolo I've already had 2 shovelfuls out of this new jar! And I wonder why I'm so fat Hmm

OP posts:
LilQuim · 06/02/2019 19:07

@SheSnapsThenSheFarts I've never tried that! Hmmmmmmm Hmm

OP posts:
starzig · 06/02/2019 19:07

They look good. Not sure they would last long or do my diet much good though Grin

LilQuim · 06/02/2019 19:08

@iklboo hahaha!

OP posts:
Deeedeeee · 06/02/2019 19:08

Nutella on crumpets instead of butter.

It's horrible stuff really, if you think what it's actually made of, but yes addictive.

LilQuim · 06/02/2019 19:09

@starzig I can't resist them with a spoon either! But for ppl with actual restraint, they are ace.

OP posts:
TchoupiEtDoudou · 06/02/2019 19:09

I hate it. So does DS1.we both love marmite.

Dh and DS2 love nutella but hate marmite.

Funny old world

LilQuim · 06/02/2019 19:09

@Deeedeeee I bought crumpets too!!! Can not wait for breakfast now!!

OP posts:
bella1426 · 06/02/2019 19:10

I actually can't have it in the house for that very reason

Tattybear16 · 06/02/2019 19:10

Nope, can’t stand it, vile. It’s like marmite in our house, love it or hate it my daughter can eat it off the spoon straight out the jar, I think I’ll pass.
