Be honest - who can get a jar of Nutella & not eat most of it off a spoon? Just me?

@DonDrapersOldFashioned It tastes revolting to me. It has a weird, chemically aftertaste

How dare you! It's delicious, chocolatey heaven in a jar! Lol

@TakemebacktoClifton same. It's so comforting - jar of Nutella, spoon & peace & quiet.

Used to buy lots of it, and eat it with a spoon, or off my finger. Am sure it didn't contain palm oil in those days though.

No way would I touch it now, considering what is in it.

@ForOldLandsEye I agree about Cadbury's but still love Nutella. Do they do a Galaxy version.... that would be my drug of choice!

LilQuim · 06/02/2019 20:05

@Cozytoesandtoast00 it was banned here too... until I caved today.

I always thought Germany had the best Nutella. It was much darker and far more chocolatey than the UK one. Then they changed the recipe about two years ago and they are both the same now. I'm surprised there hasn't been a social uprise to be honest.
Always wanted to email them how disappointed I am but it's one of the many things I procrastinate.
I used to always bring back a few jars when I visited my parents....

IamMoana · 06/02/2019 20:11

Biscoff biscuit spread...life changing. Spread on the biscuits themselves. Absolute filth.

Davros · 06/02/2019 20:13

For those needing an alternative to Marmite or Vegemite, I give you Promite!

Ellieboolou27 · 06/02/2019 20:16

Well that didn’t work Grin I meant to say the ONLY safe sweet option in my house is haribo- disgusting things.

Off to take dog for a walk and get another glass for my collection

ForalltheSaints · 06/02/2019 20:30

OP- how do you know about the addictiveness of crack?

iklboo · 06/02/2019 22:09

DH once - while in an advanced state of refreshment - spooned Nutella out of the jar with a Crunchie.

augustusglupe · 06/02/2019 22:23

I’m with you OP I avoid it altogether now, ditto Biscoff spread which I’m actually worse with. I’d forgotten about my addiction for 6 months...you’ve just reminded me, glad its late and I’m not stood in Tesco!!

Dieu · 07/02/2019 00:34

I have a cold kitchen, and it stays too hard to spread!

LilQuim · 07/02/2019 16:07

@IamMoana stop it! I am not listening!!!!!
