AbRoller · 29/06/2007 21:12

AbRoller · 29/06/2007 21:16

Well don't make me feel all on my own.......there really is nothing you could have that would beat the unconditional love of your children and a partner to share your life with is there?

Am I getting to soppy?

SomethingIncrediblyWitty · 29/06/2007 21:18 you are right! It was our 12th Wedding Anniv on the 24th!

TnOgu · 29/06/2007 21:19

You are so right.

tis all you need

NormaStanleyFletcher · 29/06/2007 21:19

So then we tried to go outside for photos, what wit hthe magnificent scenery and all, but it started pishing down. So we took photos inside. Then we had hog roast, which was FAB. WIth wine. And then chocolate fudge cake, with strawberries and cream.

Then the speaches

The brides speach
The best man
The father of the bride
The groom

(does anyone want to see our vows?)

AbRoller · 29/06/2007 21:22

oh I'd love to see them.....

Congrats Witty

SomethingIncrediblyWitty · 29/06/2007 21:23

Yes, please
(cannot think of anything smartass to say and anyway it would spoil the mood)

NormaStanleyFletcher · 29/06/2007 21:24

Oh congrats Witty

We chose the 24th to get wed as it was his parents 40th aniversary and his 30th birthday

Our vows were:-

From this day forward I promise you these things.

I will laugh with you in times of joy and comfort you in times of sorrow.

I will share in your dreams, and support you as you strive to achieve your goals.

I will listen to you with compassion and understanding,

and speak to you with encouragement.

I will help you when you need it, and step aside when you don't.

I will remain faithful to you for better or worse, in times of sickness and health.

You are my best friend and I will love and respect you always.

Beautiful, really beautiful

NormaStanleyFletcher · 29/06/2007 21:29

So after that we danced to the ceilidh band and the disco (who swapped every 1/2 hour), and then the bus comp[any decided that they had to cancel the bus for the rest of the evening, which left me ranting to the owner in a phone box outside - no mobile reception there (to the applause of the assembled crowd).

Means I don't have to pay them though.

SomethingIncrediblyWitty · 29/06/2007 21:31

I agree. Beautiful, and also something you can stay true to, not just a gushy load of codswallop. Sorry, am i spoiling mood yet? Thanks for congrats btw, didn't realise it was same day!
Um, going now...dh wants a turn on the pc before we have to feed baby and go to bed!

I have no more to add - and have to try to catch up with Mornington Crescent - I am a master at that game

TnOgu · 29/06/2007 22:08
CatIsSleepy · 29/06/2007 22:13

still here Tnog?

your wedding sounds lovely norma...

Desiderata · 29/06/2007 22:13

Ah, I see that the OP has disappeared. That's a classic sign.

Any how, what about the murder mystery idea, as an MN game?

AbRoller · 29/06/2007 22:18

murder mystery?

TnOgu · 29/06/2007 22:22

I think it's a great idea Desi.

MrsFish · 29/06/2007 22:23

Mornington Crescent is one of those mysteries to me, just can not for the life of me understand it, even after searching for rules on the net

marymoocow · 29/06/2007 22:27

Can I kill the thread, coz i'm bored (and also a great expert at it).

Not taking any notice of what you've eaten Ab's
Oh and i also don't understand that game.

Desiderata · 29/06/2007 22:29

Yes, thanks TnOgu. We'll need to think on it over a few weeks. The OP already knows who the murderer is, and the rest have to guess.

So, the entire scenario will already be known to the instigator. My idea is a long OP, almost a short story, where all the clues are present.

Following on from the OP, only YES/NO answers are allowed.

TnOgu · 29/06/2007 22:29

I shall refer you to Stovold with regards to MC.

The 1952 edition.
