To think Harry and Meghan’s photo is odd looking?!

Just having a look at the royal family Christmas card pics. Very nice. Love William and Kate’s family pic. How sweet are those kids 😍

Lots of people on Twitter raving about Meghan and Harry’s photo. I genuinely really like Harry and Meghan. Nothing against them whatsoever.

But I absolutely refuse to believe that i am alone in thinking their photo is so awkward looking!

She looks stunning and the background is amazing but it just looks weird! I think it’s the way he’s standing. It’s not elegant. It looks really odd to me.

Anyone else??

LardLizard
That photo would have been sooooo much nicer.

soup00 · 15/12/2018 07:25

It's beautiful

Mrsmadevans · 15/12/2018 07:27

I don't like it at all, it is in very bad taste.

coffeekittens · 15/12/2018 07:27

The bendy leg makes it look like he’s shit himself.

Heartofgoldheadofcabbage · 15/12/2018 07:36

I thinks the picture says. “FUCK OFF ALL YOU HATERS”...😁

astoundedgoat · 15/12/2018 07:38

Their "brand" is supposed to be different from the wholesome Cambridge's. H&M are supposed to be the edgy sexy ones. Between the two couples, they essentially have to fly the flag for the royal family to the younger generation- which is generally a bit lukewarm about them anyway.

KM was bashed relentlessly for being too passive - no career, waity Katie, has no opinions or personality, bland. Her fans love those very qualities.

MM is bashed relentlessly for being too active - high profile Instagram-ready career, fast romance, strong opinions, bolshy personality, sexy. And... her fans love those very qualities.

But honestly, if it had been an arranged marriage to save the royal fam, they couldn't have chosen better. Broadens the appeal to young voters if there is ever a referendum to get rid of them all, which I think we will see in our lifetime.

So I don't love the card, but I think it is a solid brand move.

RoseAndRose · 15/12/2018 07:41

I think the engagement pic linked by LardLizard is the nicest of those three.

I don't like the arty full length ones, especially when they look a bit posed. So no I dinMt like what they've chosen. But disliking something about this couple can sometimes be construed as being one of the racist haterz (even when you like/dislike other cards and released photos of the Royal family in pretty even measure - remember how much flak there was for that shot of the Cambridges when people were speculating if Charlotte had been photoshopped in?)

Sunshineandshowers81 · 15/12/2018 07:42

I don't mind the idea in theory of the card but the picture seems to be taken at a really weird angle. I looks like it's trying to make Meghan look smaller and has ended up looking really distorted

Secretisout · 15/12/2018 07:52

She used a backs to you black and white pic for her save the date for her last wedding too.

PattiStanger · 15/12/2018 07:54

My life is pretty full, I can't imagine a life that would be so full though that you you wouldn't have the few seconds needed to see a photo and form an opinion on it.

Commenting on well known people on the Internet doesn't mean you're unfulfilled in some way, do the full life posters never engage in chit chat?

I think the photo is fine but not one I'd choose for the celebration of a different event to the wedding itself.

Birdsgottafly · 15/12/2018 07:55

"I just don't like looking at people's backs in photos"

I wonder if it's symbolic? In a "we've turned our backs on convention", type of way.

If I was Meghan, I'd be sick of my dress/makeup/pregnant body, being critiqued, so I'd be showing my arse, as well, in any way I could get away with, to the World.

Birdsgottafly · 15/12/2018 07:58

"I think the photo is fine but not one I'd choose for the celebration of a different event to the wedding itself."

It does remind everyone that they need to STFU, because, you know, she's the one whose bagged a Prince and put colour into the British Royal Family.

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 15/12/2018 08:01

It's a lovely idea but I'd prefer their faces. I just find it a bit odd to send a pic of your back in this circumstance; it's a bit PA from such a high profile couple and I don't think the black & white helps. However, it's the sort of pic you'd treasure from your wedding because it is v sweet.

I just think a face-showing wedding pic would have been nicer.

LardLizard · 15/12/2018 08:02

Coffeekittens, he looks like he’s just shat himself !!!
You are spot on there
That’s why it looks so weird !!

Silkie2 · 15/12/2018 08:03

I'm sure they are non religious for a reason.

paintinmyhairAgain · 15/12/2018 08:04

what a rubbish photo, don't like any aspect of it.

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 15/12/2018 08:05

In old movies, fireworks - or crashing waves - were often used to suggest bedroom activities that couldn't be explicitly shown.

But I actually think H&M could at least go as far as recreating a scene from a wholesome Doris Day and Rock Hudson movie such as this one for their card.

To think Harry and Meghan’s photo is odd looking?!
SleepySofa · 15/12/2018 08:13

I don’t have any issue with the subject matter, or the artsy-ness of it, or it being black and white or showing just their backs. I do think Harry’s leg position looks awkward though, and the lighting isn’t doing much for his hair/head shape. She looks nice (as mush as you can see!) but then she always looks gorgeous.

Truckingonandon · 15/12/2018 08:16

Why would you choose a picture of yourself where your leg looks so weird. He just can't have looked at it and thought, yep, looking good there kid!

SoupDragon · 15/12/2018 08:16

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the photo.

As for the bleating about Liddell you know we are I love." Get over it. They got married this year and are expecting their first baby. It's hardly surprising that their photo shows love.

People will happy find fault about everything they do. If they'd had a picture sat on a log in the woods with a dog they be criticised.

uer587392 · 15/12/2018 08:17

I'm a wedding photographer, and this is one I would have rather regretfully removed from the final package, and hoped that I had a better one of the same scene.

His body looks bulky and fat - probably because his jacket is open and flaring out. This is probably what seems to give him a weird little pin head.
Banana leg. And the light reflecting off his massive shoe just draws the eye to his big canoe-foot.
And, actually, yes to the pp who thought they were standing in front of a burning building, I didn't catch on at first but now I can't unsee it.

The Cambridge pic is sweet, but, I can't quite put my finger on it, there's something really awkward about William's stance. As though he's somehow conscious of his crotch and doesn't know how to position it however i would like them to adopt me into their family please

MissyCooper · 15/12/2018 08:21

Canoe foot 😂

Ah,?maybe they are sending a message? 😂

SerenDippitty · 15/12/2018 08:27

I love the Charles and Camilla one.

I like everything about it...apart from his leg! I thought it was a wedding photo at first.
