I read some of the linked articles on Butina in the last few days. That's all looking very interesting.
She's already been in jail awaiting trial for 5 months, so it's not just a theoretical fear for her. Maybe that's contributing to her desire not to be there much longer.
She won't get a hero's welcome in Russia – she's a loser.
One of the Twitter comments pointed out a connection between the Butina issue and that idiot Repug Congressman who said that if Trump had breached campaign finance rules then so had most Repugs.
Butina was of course working closely with the NRA, which received a lot of hidden funding, and which in turn funds a lot of US politicians. So maybe Butina's co-operation will reveal Russian money flows to politicians.
