The meeting with Pelosi and Schumer went well...

"After the meeting, Trump reportedly flicked a folder so that papers were strewn around, the official said."

Personally I think it's a brilliant idea. Another clown to join the circus and drown the ship Grin

Dr. Christine Blasey Ford presented Sports Illustrated's Inspiration of the Year Award to Rachael Denhollander, the first woman to publicly accuse Larry Nassar of sexual assault.

"We all have the power to create real change." bit.ly/2ErTUoY twitter.com/kylegriffin1/status/1072876293404979200/video/1

I'm so glad Dr Ford is continuing to speak out.

Gumpendorf · 12/12/2018 15:55

I'm not sure the WH is big enough for both their egos, Rousette 🤔

lionheart · 12/12/2018 16:46

Good to see that about Dr. Ford. Smile

Why not Nigel instead of Piers since he's already under the Trump net?

Piers Morgan???!!!

Start a circus, attract a monkey, no?

At the rate it's going, I wouldn't be surprised if he's offered the job. Or if he accepts it.

Although neither Piers nor Nigel are US citizens, although that's not an actual requirement. We've had foreign born cabinet secretaries, but they've all been born abroad to US parents or naturalized US citizens.

Cohen:
"Recently the president tweeted a statement calling me weak and it was correct but for a much different reason than he was implying. It was because time and time again i felt it was my duty to cover up his dirty deeds"

Michael Cohen also hit with forfeiture of $500,000, restitution of $1.4 million and a fine of $50,000, according to Bloomberg.

Michael Cohen has been sentenced to 3 years prison. Sentence is bad news for Trump. In most jurisdictions, subordinates who carry out felonies at the direction of their boss get lower criminal sentences than the boss. So if camp vio big driver of Cohen sentence, Trump > 3 years...

Lanny Davis, who says he is now an adviser to Cohen after today's sentencing, says on ABC, "Michael Cohen is now released to tell the full truth. After Mr. Mueller makes his findings and issues his report, you will see more of Michael Cohen telling the truth about Donald Trump."

Stephen Colbert has volunteered for WH chief of staff.
His reasoning? He would have the same effect as any other post holder, but he'd have fun.

released a press release announcing today that "it has previously reached a non-prosecution agreement with AMI, in connection with AMI’s role in making the above-described $150,000 payment before the 2016 presidential election."

No statement from Khuzami.

Here is the Colbert clip.

I was at an boring important academic event and couldn't risk looking for potentially noisy clips.

This is quite important. One by one, the career DOJ prosecutors are removing possible Trump defenses. Now it isn’t just Cohen, but also AMI, saying these hush money payments were made to influence the 2016 Presidential election, and knock out the so-called “Edwards defense”
