HELP!!!

OP posts:
MaidenMotherCrone · 24/11/2018 13:43

Just say no.

Workreturner · 24/11/2018 13:43

He’s young given his spelling?

In which case a spud gun will be good

Sirzy · 24/11/2018 13:44

Sorry miniralph,

I am afraid I don’t deliver pellet guns or anything similar. If you let me know what else you would like I will try to sort that for you

From Santa

FunkyKingston · 24/11/2018 13:47

Why is 'help' needed? You are the parent, parent him.

Just tell him no. Within 48 hours he will be pestering for something else. Maybe a dictionary might be a useful stocking filler.

HoneyBumpkin · 24/11/2018 13:49

Yes I would just tell him you don't want him to have a pellet gun (and perhaps explain why) and so Santa won't be bringing one

TheCag · 24/11/2018 13:49

Sorry, Santa isn’t an arms dealer Wink

Greensleeves · 24/11/2018 13:50

God, the dictionary comment is bitchy. Phonetically plausible spelling is a developmental milestone and not to be sneered at.

I second the spud gun idea. They're great fun and you can find the biggest, knobbliest potato to wrap up with it. Could enclose a note from the Head Elf saying pellet guns are a bit dangerous but you hope he enjoys this instead.

Purplejay · 24/11/2018 13:51

Get him a nerf gun. Tell him Santa doesn’t deal with real guns (and why). I assume if he is writing to santa he is primary age but at any age it would be a no from me!

PennyMordauntsLadyBrain · 24/11/2018 13:51

Nope. I’d explain Santa doesn’t bring toys that could hurt another person or an animal.

Tiscold · 24/11/2018 13:52

Nerf maybe? Some of the smaller ones etc are quite good, and especially fun. Leave a little note from the elves that pellet guns are for super big boys, so they got him something even better!

ShalomJackie · 24/11/2018 13:56

Buy him some tutoring instead

Chickychoccyegg · 24/11/2018 14:01

awww, I love that letter, but I would say a definite no to the pellet gun, my kids know that parents are able to phone or text santa to give ideas of gifts and also to let him know what's no allowed Grin
just explain that a pellet gun is not happening and why and help suggest something else he might like instead, but make sure he knows it's a definite NO x

Poloshot · 24/11/2018 14:01

How old is he? Buy him one if he's sensible and only to be used under supervision.

JennyOnAPlate · 24/11/2018 14:03

Santa doesn't bring dangerous weapons

sweeneytoddsrazor · 24/11/2018 14:05

Oh give over with the snidey spelling remarks.

chillpizza · 24/11/2018 14:06

How old is he? Santa is sometimes an arms dealer in our house...

If used under supervision no harm will come.

PiperPublickOccurrences · 24/11/2018 14:07

Say no, that Santa doesn't give guns.

"guns which look like real ones" aren't toys. That's why things like Nerf Guns are bright orange, to make them obvious toys.

CrispbuttyNo1 · 24/11/2018 14:08

Get him a nerf gun. My nephews love them. None are showing signs of being mass murderers, terrorists, or gang members yet.

Soubriquet · 24/11/2018 14:09

Yep.

I would get a letter delivered from Santa saying he is sorry but he doesn’t do weapons as it’s not in the Christmas spirit, and they aren’t very nice items to begin with

jemr2345 · 24/11/2018 14:09

I can’t believe people making comments about a child’s spelling in a letter to Santa FFS - (a) Not funny and (b) this is how children learn to write now, by spelling phonetically

Woooman · 24/11/2018 14:10

FFS to all comments about his spelling. There are some real bitches on here at times but it's taking on a whole new low to be making snipes at a child over their spelling. Pathetic.

OP, tell him FC doesn't bring guns, or tell him you don't want him to have a gun, or alternatively don't do either and get him something else and hope he's not disappointed on Christmas Day. I didn't always get stuff that I asked for and it hasn't mentally scarred me.

ghostsandghoulies · 24/11/2018 14:12

Get a Nerf or Spud gun. Explain that Santa abides by laws and can only provide age appropriate gifts.

Help! My son has asked for a pellet hand gun from Santa
TheSmallClangerWhistlesAgain · 24/11/2018 14:13

Just don't get him one. I take it there are other things he would like?

There's no need to discuss it with him unless he gets ratty with the replacement present.

This ploy worked the year Tiny Clanger wanted Heelys. We just gave her something else off her gargantuan list of stuff she wanted and left it at that.

GummyGoddess · 24/11/2018 14:16

No, Santa does toys. No weapons or tech. How old is he? I would be a tiny bit worried about why he wants it to look like a real one, what's he been watching on television?

ProfessorMoody · 24/11/2018 14:17

What the actual fuck is wrong with people that they are commenting on a child's spelling? Fuck me, how uncomfortable with yourself do you actually have to be to do that?

OP, get a spud gun, a nerf gun or a cap gun and explain Santa doesn't bring anything thst might hurt someone. Unless the kid is maybe 10 or over, then I don't see the harm in a child's BB gun to hit targets with.
