Kievs and pasta?!?!?!?!

DP was tasked with picking up an easy tea for tonight so we can have an early night after a busy couple of weeks.

AIBU to be aghast that he got chicken kievs (yum.) AND PASTA?!?!?!

They don't go together, right?

Kievs and chips, yes. Kievs and pasta, abomination.

Kievs with mashed potato - then you can mix the garlic butter in to the mash - divine. But pasta? No. Revolting.

Kiev’s on pasta is my son’s favourite dinner- the garlic juice makes a great pasta sauce apparently! YABU

Chips, salad, mash, possibly even a baked potato. But most definitely NOT pasta!

One of DD’s favourite meals was (is 🤗🤗), Kiev and pasta bows with sweetcorn and peas mixed through it. We had it last week, so so easy.

Kiev’s, pasta and broccoli...a go to ‘quick meal’ here. Yabu!

What's wrong with Kievs and Pasta? It's delicious and it fits the bill of being an easy choice for tea. If you don't like it then that's fine but to say its an abomination is a slight over exaggeration.

Sounds great to me. I would chop the kievs up and toss into the pasta

My mam used to make this all the time when I was growing up, I loved it!

NO they don't go together, but I have been known to make it when we haven't got anything else left in the cupboard!

My best random meal made of whatever we have in was fishfinger korma - everyone loved it lol!

It's nontraditional, but pasta is fairly versatile, so I don't see why it wouldn't work.

How do you even serve Kiev's and pasta? Plain pasta with a giant kiev on top? Or do you chop it up and mix the breaded chicken in with the pasta? Why not buy oven chips or even Children’s potato faces and you'd still have a more put together meal. Order a takeaway ASAP

I always have chicken Kiev with pasta. I love it! But not plain pasta. I usually make a tomato sauce with lots of veg in.

Its just a herb/garlic butter sauce in the centre away from chicken parmigiana so its a fusion dish!

This is an actual dish I think :) I can’t remember what it’s called, but it’s usually chicken schnitzel (basically breaded chicken) with spaghetti and tomato sauce, always wanted to order it hit haven’t yet!

My mum eats Chicken Kiev with rice. Says it's like garlic rice. I've never tried it myself.

I'm trying to use up everything we have before buying more. Kiev's and pasta is a dinner I'd currently serve so I'm not wasting anything.
