We start this new thread on a brighter note: the mid-terms were a win for the Democrats, securing the House of Representatives and further seats in the Senate. This means more scrutiny for POTUS and the GOP, and bargaining power.

He’s still a feckless, vain bully, oddly admired by some varieties of Christians - enjoy the cartoon by Mike Luckovich.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — 'The number of farms filing for bankruptcy is increasing across the Upper Midwest, following low prices for corn, soybeans, milk and beef, according to a new analysis from the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.

The analysis found that 84 farms filed for bankruptcy in Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana in the 12 months that ended in June. That’s more than double the number over the same period in 2013 and 2014.'

Just saw about Manafort on the news. Mueller is recommending he be sent to prison ASAP since he is no longer cooperating.

The day after Trump announces he’d like to have a worldwide US news streaming service? And that name - Fox Nation - I don’t know. Seems somewhat iffy in a nationalist, fascist way to me, but then I’m sure I’m reading way too much into it.
