We were up early today, we've had a chilled out morning and early afternoon watching Netflix and snacking on.. well basically anything in the cupboards and fridges lol. Now we're doing a bit of home D.I.Y and going to blitz the downstairs. Then later on we're going to make some nice food (or a takeaway) and have a snuggle down with a movie. I love Saturdays so much when we actually do something now. Instead of just lazing about not doing anything, even my mental health is seeing an improvement.

What are you all up to? Have a lovely day x

Cleaned the car

Now I am going to start watching season 4 of American Horror Story whilst dd is in the bath

Trip to sil's tonight.

BitchQueen90 · 20/10/2018 14:23

Met some friends for breakfast, now tiring DS out at soft play. Then he has a swimming lesson later.

We do quite a lot on Saturdays and then Sunday is our lazy day.

GoopWrithing · 20/10/2018 14:23

Fairly slow morning, with lots of coffee. I baked a pear crumble. Then the usual Saturday walk round the town to the pharmacy, various other places, and finally through the supermarket for the main weekly shop (dragged home up the hill). Now we're just sitting around, picking at lunch. I have some laundry etc to do, but no big plans. I think some gaming and a couple of glasses of wine later on.

darkriver198868 · 20/10/2018 14:30

This morning I went to the launderette and washed all my clothes . I am now binge watching Big Bang Theory .

I am debating whether to go to social event tonight .

chocolatebox1 · 20/10/2018 14:30

A very long lie in after a busy week and a chest infection, household admin - paying bills etc, washing bedding and towels, cleaning out pet cages, then looking forward to some nice food later which I'd bought from a deli!

tattiehat · 20/10/2018 14:31

Staying very close to my loo, I've either picked up a bug from DD who was ill earlier this week or have mild food poisoning from left over takeaway 🤮🤮

Hidingtonothing · 20/10/2018 14:33

Busy morning, finally collected new sofa (after an absolute debacle with the one I originally ordered but that’s another thread!) so picked up hire van, fetched sofa and taken old one to the tip. Had some lunch and now testing sofa for comfort Grin Going for a nice long bath shortly and then out for a meal tonight, pretty good day really Smile

Squirrelblanket · 20/10/2018 14:33

Lying on the sofa with the hangover from hell.

Hidingtonothing · 20/10/2018 14:34

Oh no tattie Sad Feel better soon Flowers

confusedandemployed · 20/10/2018 14:34

DD at her dad's today so, long walk with DDog followed by an hour practising my exercise-to-music routine ahead of training next weekend. Then a bit of pootling round town, popped in to see DD at her swimming lesson.
Home, food, dyed hair, done posh nails.
At 4pm friend and I going for late lunch at local gastro-pub, followed by birthday drinks for a mutual friend.
Today is a good day Wink

Hidingtonothing · 20/10/2018 14:35

And you too Squirrel, hope it was a good night Grin

mummyinmanchester · 20/10/2018 14:35

Pretty much same as you OP! Lazy morning (my turn for lie in this morning, DH tomorrow) then we've just done a house clean and made biscuits with DS, I'm going to do a couple of hours work and then we will have family movie night and picnic supper, DS goes to bed, we will have a curry and a couple of beers / glasses of wine.
Weekends are the BEST.

DavetheCat2001 · 20/10/2018 14:36

Sainsbury's this morning, OH took DC's for a hotdog down at our local coffee shop.

DS went to his swimming lesson.

DC's watching a film, not much planned for the rest of the day.

Friends coming over for takeaway curry and wine this evening.

gothefcktosleep · 20/10/2018 14:38

Oh what a nice thread...

DH got breakfast naps from the new place that opened up down the road (they weren’t that good but glad we tried!)

Then we went to the local farm shop with the PIL for a cup of tea, and drive on to a local Christmas market (I know it’s early but I’ve been excited since August).

Got hone and did a quick round of housework.

Now DH, DD and I are all in bed again for a nap/chill out... boring really but lovely all the same.

I quite fancy going for a walk later too...

mumof2sarah · 20/10/2018 14:39

These all sound really lovely. I hope those that are poorly are better soon.

I'm going to give my fridge a huge tidy out and clean in a minute. I have a cleaning bug now lol x

DP is home after working away all week (he had to go in this morning as well) so I got a start on the washing. I love doing laundry I know so didn't mind. Made a tuna pasta salad for lunch as well.

Popped out with DC2 to run a few errands once DP was home, now me and the older kids are in the park making the most of the lovely autumn weather.

Kids having a freezer dinner and we're having a movie and a Turkish Mezze once they are in bed [hoping they go down nice and early, hence me running them ragged in the park Grin]

MapleSpice · 20/10/2018 14:40

Playing Sims 4 we've just had eggs on toast and we're about to drive down to Derby to watch a football match, my first one!

I'm 27 and we're hoping to start IVF soon so we're acting like big kids til then

peachgreen · 20/10/2018 14:42

DH had a lie-in while I got up with the baby and did breakfast etc. She and I had a nice morning playing and watching a bit of telly. FaceTimed my mum and dad so they could chat to the baby. Then the three of us walked into town and went to the park - baby went on the swings and so did DH! Then we had lunch at a local charity cafe - scrambled egg for me and DD, bacon bap for DH - and now we're home and DD is napping on me while DH watches something on Netflix. Some chores to do this afternoon (cleaning the bathroom, sorting DD's old clothes for storage), then dinner, bath and bed for DD, then homemade pizzas for me and DH with Strictly, Doctor Who and a wee glass of Prosecco. And a bath for me. Hooray for Saturdays!

Zigazagazoo · 20/10/2018 14:42

Working. 4 month old dd is chilling at home with dh.

WonderTweek · 20/10/2018 14:45

I’ve had my first proper lie in for months! I slept round the clock and got up at 10.30! Toddler has been really ill so nights have been eventful this week, and I’ve just come down with laryngitis so it seems that my body really needed the rest. I’ve looked after toddler this afternoon and cleaned the rabbits and I’m contemplating a nap (if toddler naps 🤞🏻). Maybe a spot of yoga later but I have a feeling that it’ll be a lazy day for me. 😂

FreakForHummous · 20/10/2018 14:45

Squirrel and tattie - hope you both feel better soon!

I've done the housework and washing this morning, washed and straightened my hair (this took a while as it's very curly usually!) and started organising my Christmas lists.

Now curled on the sofa with a cup of tea waiting for my friend to come over. Then I'll be off to watch a firework display later followed by a nice pub dinner.

Solenti · 20/10/2018 14:46

Horses! Got up early to go to a competition, had a great day, just got in from putting the horses back out afterwards and mucking out. Now going to have a sit down, clean the house, sort the washing, back down the yard for the evening work and then dinner!

eurochick · 20/10/2018 14:47
