To ask how your Saturdays are being spent?

We were up early today, we've had a chilled out morning and early afternoon watching Netflix and snacking on.. well basically anything in the cupboards and fridges lol. Now we're doing a bit of home D.I.Y and going to blitz the downstairs. Then later on we're going to make some nice food (or a takeaway) and have a snuggle down with a movie. I love Saturdays so much when we actually do something now. Instead of just lazing about not doing anything, even my mental health is seeing an improvement.

What are you all up to? Have a lovely day x

GoldenWonderwall · 20/10/2018 17:06

Took baby round supermarket whilst elder child got their head shorn. Then I had two hours at the gym doing classes! Came home, gave dh a break and then carved pumpkins. Dh sorted the back garden so children could play and I’m making soup and cake. Going to watch maniac later and drink wine/ gin Wine Gin

whensitmyturn · 20/10/2018 17:11

Dh been at work all day, dd had a sleepover with 6 friends last night so kids everywhere in the house till 12. Ds had a footie match this morning.

ButtMuncher · 20/10/2018 17:11

I've had the day to myself after DH took the kids out so I had a bath, watched reruns of Bake Off and then went shopping with my Mum. Kids are playing with some new toys (was payday y/day) and I'm cooking a Thai green curry later and watching Strictly Glitterball

frankie001 · 20/10/2018 17:14

Am dog sitting for a friend, so had nice walkers this morning and have just been out for vegging out in front of the tv food. I’m normally asleep all weekend!

First weekend off work in what seems like forever so was a lie in followed by ghost crumpets for breakfast then while dp went to play with his car I took our dds shopping for sofa throws we had great fun and even laughed about being run over by a mobility scooter rest of day is spent chilling out ready for new sofa arriving tomorrow

BellMcEnd · 20/10/2018 17:33

Working and being v jealous of those on the People’s Vote March. There in spirit.

Girlicorne · 20/10/2018 17:33

Up early to take delivery of our new washer, dropped ds and dh off at football, took dd for wetherspoons breakfast, collected them from football (lost 13-0). Plumbed in new washer and did a test load then went to our local country park to do their Halloween trail which was awesome this year! Just got home, put some more washing on and dh is cooking dinner while i m on here! Love Saturdays :-)

bluechameleon · 20/10/2018 17:34

This morning DH got up with the baby at 6:30 so I could sleep in. Unfortunately DS1 came into my bed not long after but I managed to dispatch him downstairs too. DH took DS1 to his football class while I did laundry and stopped DS2 from getting stuck in the clothes horse/throwing himself downstairs/eating hair off the floor. After lunch we went pumpkin picking then DH and DS1 had their customary argument about a bath and I got the casserole in the oven. I'm feeding DS2 then I might make a crumble for pudding.

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 20/10/2018 17:35

I'm 39 weeks pregnant and have a rotten cold so haven't felt like doing much.
DD slept over at her GP's last night so DH and I had a nice lazy morning, slept in then had fresh croissants and coffee in bed. When DD came home I did some crafty stuff with her while DH did some work in the garden. Had a light lunch then all went off to a local garden centre to look at the Christmas stuff and feed the fish, picked up a few ingredients for a curry on the way home which DH is now cooking. Once we've eaten and DD has gone to bed it'll be pyjamas and a cup of tea for me and a beer for DH, and some chocolate in front of the new series of Making A Murderer...unless this baby has other ideas of course!

OhFlipMama · 20/10/2018 17:37

Kids football, bit of shopping (nothing exciting), housework and loads of clothes washing while the weather is good! General procrastination...

bigchris · 20/10/2018 17:48

Cooroo that's brilliant, what are you volunteering as ? ( over invested librarian lol)

Haisuli · 20/10/2018 17:57

I've got a water infection. Was supposed to be at the theatre tonight but I can't face it so we're just going to watch strictly. Have had a quiet day, did a bit of tidying, and washing, made lunch and then did a lot of holiday research and planning (including making an actual spread sheet). Husband walked the dog and took his mum.out and made tea. Ds1 still in jammies, ds2 has been out on his bike with his friends most of the day with a break in the middle when he went to the skate park to meet another friend. He is a busy bee.i love Saturdays the best, but better when I can have a glass of wine and not to think about toilets all the time 😢

Hopoindown31 · 20/10/2018 17:59

A run followed by swimming lesson for DS some shopping then potty training for DD while DP visited a sick relative in hospital.

NocturneGmajor · 20/10/2018 17:59

Watched First Man late last night, very good film, so had lie in this morning.
Thankful it’s half term, ignored homework / reading bag.
Thought about making chutney, read few recipes then out to Macdonald’s lunch, shameful.
Out to park with kids, scooters, sandpits, slides.
Back home radio on, G&T, pork roasting, played hatchimal game with DD, DS assembling Lego.
Deciding between reading the book of self care or Red Famine
Lovely autumn day here burning winter pine candle (TK Max)

AcrossthePond55 · 20/10/2018 17:59

A little tidying this morning, right now MNing with the dog on my lap with no specific plans for the afternoon. This evening we're watching the Dodgers/Brewers game for the NL pennant.

Go Dodgers!!!!

jarhead123 · 20/10/2018 18:03

My daughter played football this morning so we all went to watch.

Came home & had lunch, kids played and I had a little nap on the sofa - was lush!

Walked the dog and early tea before heading out to a family night at the local social club.

jarhead123 · 20/10/2018 18:04

@Airyfairyunicornrainbow I hope you are OK :( xxx

maddiemookins16mum · 20/10/2018 18:06

Tea and toast in bed watching TV. Quick shower, left DD in bed and DP and I popped out shopping/Drs for an hour. Back home by 10.30, washing out, tidied up, cleaned bathroom. DP worked in the garden, I did lunch then snoozed on the sofa. Woke up to DP doing the ironing watching DR Who. I’ve just prepped a beef cheek stew for tomorrow in the slow cooker and stuck sausage and chips in the oven for tea (with beans/fried egg 🤗🤗). DD is at a friends and needs collected after Strictly. Nice easy day for us really.

dontknowwhattodo80 · 20/10/2018 18:29

Gutting DS2's bedroom and the "play room". DS2 is nearly 10 and we've still got toddler toys around the place Grin. Time for a big clear out and moving on to a slightly more grown up ( and tidier!) house
