Lately DH and I (retired) have been having some really interesting and revealing conversations regard behaviour when we were singletons (early '70s when we started our 'dating lives' - mid '80s when we met and married) vs the way things are now. DH was really surprised at the amount of shit we put up with back then and that our usual response was to back away, look embarrassed, and mutter politely vs the way young women today tell pervy buggers in no uncertain terms to fuck off. And the amount of blame we received for 'encouraging' the behaviour by the way we dressed, walked, talked, and fucking breathed.
Times have changed. Not enough, not nearly enough, but they have changed. But the recent Kavanaugh debacle shows that we still have a long, long way to go.
