Breitbart loonies are convinced this is a liberal setup. This is the most up-voted comment on a story about the MAGABomber:

He is a DeepState false flag plant. They put him into action before Trump was even elected. This is the smoking gun that proves the deep state has been out to destroy Trump since day one. This guy is a communist antifa democrat who is taking the fall for money.

Charlottesville rally - blaming the media for the MAGABomber, not his own inflammatory rhetoric. (Sourced from Breitbart, so help me.)

Trump says the “media has a major role to play–whether they want to or not.”

Crowd boos and chants, “CNN Sucks!”

Trump says the media have a major role to play when it comes to tone and everything.

“The media’s constant unfair coverage, deep hostility, and negative attacks… only serve to drive people apart and undermine healthy debate,” Trump says. He says “we have seen an effort by the media” to use the “sinister acts by one individuals to score political points against me and the Republican Party.

Trump says he and Republicans did not do the same to Democrats when a crazed Bernie Sanders supporter tried to slaughter Congressional Republicans and almost murdered House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA).

I feel like the entire world is missing this horrific tragedy. An armed white supremacist tried to enter a black church. Doors were locked. Thank god. Still hungry for a killing, he shot a Black man & woman dead at a nearby supermarket. twitter.com/nytimes/status/1055783871768334337

As we noticed yesterday.

Donald Trump is living his nightmare: Days before an election, he's unable to influence what the political press is covering. https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-comes-face-to-face-with-his-nightmare-a-news-cycle-he-cant-controll^^/^ https://twitter.com/thedailybeast/status/1056017873938907136/photo/11^

DD gave the rally a miss last night, but reported this exchange with press:
Daniel Dale
@ddale8
Trump to reporters: "I did not see my face on the van. I don't know. I heard he was a person that preferred me over others, but I did not see that."
Asked, I think, about whether he takes any blame (hard to hear), Trump said, "There's no blame. There's no anything. You look at what happened to Steve Scalise, that was from a supporter of a different party. You look at what happened on - numerous of these incidents..."
Asked if he’ll call Obama or other targets of the bombs, Trump said, “Uhhh, if they wanted me to, but I think we’ll probably pass.”
Trump lamented that the bombs had taken away Republican “momentum,” telling reporters that the bombs were all “you people” discussed. He then added, “Rightfully so.”

'Snubs' is a very poor choice of word in this very sensitive context, as it can imply insult/rudeness:
'Khashoggi fiancée snubs Trump invitation to White House'
The fiancée of murdered Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi says she has declined an invitation to the White House from US President Donald Trump, accusing him of not being sincere about investigating the killing.

Thread on the voting machines changing votes.

Reports now say this is happening on machines in 30% of Texas counties. The SoS says voters are to blame for touching machines while they're still filling out races in a straight-party ticket. These are paperless DRE machines made by Hart InterCivic. 1/3

When voters select straight-party ticket, machine fills in selections for them automatically, voting all races per party they pick. If voters touch machine while it's still rendering a page, the state says voter can inadvertently de-select a race or select a diff candidate. 2/3

But this is not a voter problem; it's a design problem. Machines should be designed to NOT accept input from voters while a page is still rendering. In any case, to avoid it, voters should NOT vote straight-party but should instead select each race manually on their own. 3/3

This is a nightmare scenario for DRE voting machines and a compelling reason to eliminate them. An error like this, even if detected, can mean there is no way to determine after the fact what the voters’ intended choices were. “Recounting” doesn’t help.

Not enough information to determine what happened here, but there are several plausible possibilities, including malicious tampering, a software bug, or a provisioning or ballot definition error. DRE machines lend themselves to such problems, which can be fatal to an election.

'Inside Trump’s 2018 rallies: Cocky young men and few protesters.
A visit to several Trump campaign events reveals that the resentments of 2016 have been replaced by a triumphal sense of confidence: 'The sun has risen again,' said one Trump supporter.'
Another new addition to the rally mix: more and better-organized groups of young men, who have become a more visible presence at recent events than they were in 2016. That shift mirrors polling, including by Reuters/Ipsos and Pew, which shows white male millennials breaking toward the Republican Party as issues of race and gender have come to dominate political discourse, especially on social media (partly thanks, of course, to Trump himself).
Two dozen members of the Proud Boys—a pro-Trump “Western chauvinist” fraternal group whose membership and visibility has surged over the past two years, in part because of its role in violent street altercations—turned up for Trump’s rally in Mesa last Friday night. They declined to answer questions. “We usually defer that to officers,” one said, explaining that none were present.
A large group of teenage boys from Scottsdale’s Chaparral High School also gathered at the rally’s entrance. (Not all were white: One wore a “Gay Latinos 4 Trump” shirt.)
Rather than attend the event, the bikers, the Proud Boys and the high school students clustered around a group of protesters, taunting and yelling at them.
More frat boy swagger was on display inside a hangar at a Missoula airport where Trump was scheduled to speak on Thursday. About a dozen young college Republicans from Washington State University, all men, gathered near the press pen and took photos together while flashing the “OK” hand sign, which is either a symbol of white supremacy or an ironic way to upset progressives, depending on whom you ask.
