We are away on holiday and my 10 month old baby found a tablet on the floor and put it in her mouth for literally 1 second and I got it out.

It was a small yellow round tablet, that seemed to be dissolving easily.

How bad will this be?? We gave her a drink straight away and she seems totally fine. ShockConfused

I’d go to hospital and take the tablet with me. I wouldn’t want her to be drinking, I’d want her to be vomiting.

Fiffyshadesofgreymatter · 29/09/2018 18:58

Eh... Get off mumsnet and go to a hospital. They might recognise the tablet and be able to say it's fine or not fine.

youarenotkiddingme · 29/09/2018 18:59

I guess how bad it'll be is dependent on what it is? Could you at least google image search "round yellow tablet" and try and make an educated guess at first?

Cheeeeislifenow · 29/09/2018 18:59

Bring her to a and e now. You don't know what it is..better to be safe with a few hours wasted than sorry

Curious2468 · 29/09/2018 18:59

Agree with above, a&e. Not worth the risk.

tenlittledinosaurss · 29/09/2018 19:00

I'd be on my way to A&E as well

youarenotkiddingme · 29/09/2018 19:00

But yes hospital is a must!

LassWiADelicateAir · 29/09/2018 19:00

Hospital or a pharmacy and take the tablet with you. I agree I would not want her to be drinking and swallowing.

LassWiADelicateAir · 29/09/2018 19:02

Oh and don't wait around to see if anyone disagrees with the advice so far.

UniversalTruth · 29/09/2018 19:03

Call 111 and see if they can ID the tablet.

HighwayDragon1 · 29/09/2018 19:03

Toddler, tablet A&E. Now.

ButDoYouAvocado · 29/09/2018 19:03

This didn't happen to me earlier.

moneyquestions2405 · 29/09/2018 19:04

Ok, yep, on our way to A and e now. Thanks

Hope all goes okay.

shakeyourcaboose · 29/09/2018 19:07

Hope all is well.

Mishappening · 29/09/2018 19:09

My OH has to take a whole raft of medication, any one of which could finish a child off. Take no chances.

Easynow · 29/09/2018 19:10

Any letters on the tablet? Still go to A&E

No we are in Scotland, we’ve gone approx 2.5 hours from home.

I think I might contact the owners to ask the last occupants or cleaners. I know they may deny it, but if, hopefully its a type of vitamin or prescribed drug they will own up & help you.

DanSullivan · 29/09/2018 19:21

Wishing you well, OP. Hopefully it’s something harmless.

Easynow · 29/09/2018 19:21

Explain that if they did help you, it would save the Drs a lot of valuable time for your DC.

moneyquestions2405 · 29/09/2018 19:22

@ easynow

That’s a good idea thank you.
