We are away on holiday and my 10 month old baby found a tablet on the floor and put it in her mouth for literally 1 second and I got it out.

It was a small yellow round tablet, that seemed to be dissolving easily.

How bad will this be?? We gave her a drink straight away and she seems totally fine. ShockConfused

I would also have gone straight to a & e. You can never be too careful with things like this. Hope she is ok OP & it was just a vitamin or similar x

hayleyfx · 29/09/2018 21:45

I hope all is okay OP Flowers

Witchend · 29/09/2018 21:47

It does look rather like a refresher sweet. Any chance it's that?

moneyquestions2405 · 29/09/2018 21:50

Thank you for all your replies and messages.

Doctor had a look, she seems totally fine but told to keep a close eye on her and to bring her straight back if any concerns.

The are thinking the tablet was an antihistamine, as a few people thought it was.

Phew, panic over.

What a fun way to start the holiday off!! Relaxing.....hmmmm, that’ll be a nope!!Confused

To the poster who asked why I was still posting, I was in the passenger seat of the car, my husband driving and baby in the back. I was just posting for more advice.

Back to the lodge now, and baby is asleep.

Thanks for all your help.

@moneyquestions2405 I hope you play hell with the holiday company for not cleaning!

Glad baby is ok Flowers

londonrach · 29/09/2018 22:03

Glad okop...report to holiday company for lack of cleaning

Queenofthestress · 29/09/2018 22:10

Thank god everything's okay

Dp works at one, as security, and a 2 year old found a bag of cocaine under the mattress on Thursday, makes me very wary!

Chwaraeteg · 29/09/2018 22:10

Sealegs travel sickness tablet? They sort of melt on your tongue and taste really bitter.

Fiffyshadesofgreymatter · 29/09/2018 22:17

@moneyquestions2405

For the future, if you have concerns about your child and are taking them to hospital with someone else driving then you sit in the back with them so you can monitor them. You don't sit in the front and then stick your face in your phone. You weren't even looking at the baby if you were on the phone.

I saved my son's life by being in the back with him when we rushed to a&e. When he stopped breathing, I knew immediatly. I wouldn't have if I'd been in the front.

I appreciate this was mostly a minor thing and baby seemed fine, but I still can't believe you didn't sit in the back to monitor.

PrincessConsuelaBannanaHammock · 29/09/2018 22:20

Glad everything is ok. I hope you also complain to the holiday company!

Mishappening · 29/09/2018 22:28

Let's not fire off criticisms of this lady but just wish her a very happy holiday.

Witchend · 29/09/2018 22:28

Glad it's all okay.

notangelinajolie · 29/09/2018 22:35

Thank you for updating us. Hopefully baby is asleep and well and you and DH are finally able to relax and enjoy your holiday. And please make sure you give the owners of the accommodation hell for not cleaning it properly.

IABURQO · 29/09/2018 22:37

Glad she seems ok so far, hope she stays that way.

@Fiffyshadesofgreymatter is perhaps a little harsh in manner, but has a good point; it's best to be right next to the baby if you feel they're that unwell.

IABURQO · 29/09/2018 22:38

(Or risk being unwell)

hayleyfx · 29/09/2018 22:38

I’m so glad your little girl is okay. Hope the rest of your holiday is less stressful!

PeanuttyButter · 29/09/2018 22:43

I think buccal prochloperazine are yellow like that. Would also explain the quick dissolving.

anitagreen · 29/09/2018 23:17

Sorry just seen you asked me a question now and no they don't completely blank but yellow x

Lougle · 29/09/2018 23:22

Buccal prochlorperazine are very small (about 3mm diameter) and take a surprisingly long time to dissolve. I take them when I have migraine, and I can go to bed with one lodged in my upper lip and wake up the next morning and still have remnants of it left.
